Well, "White Day" is a romantic holiday.. lulz

Quote:
White day was actually called as “Marshmallow Day” as Ishimura Manseido, a marshmallow company created the marshmallows for this day. And other companies started manufacturing the white candies. This eventually became white day. White Day is celebrated in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan on March 14th. White day is popular among married men i.e. 51%, and singles 40%. Right after one month on April 14th “Black day” is celebrated for singles.
..........

White day is celebrated on March, 14th and there is a co-relation between White day and Valentine’s Day. St. Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th which was imported to Japan by a Japanese confectionary company in 1958. In Japan, women give gifts and chocolates to men and the gifts mainly include chocolates. And on White Day, men are supposed to return these gifts to women that were received by them on St. Valentine’s Day. And this White Day was introduced by a Japan marshmallow manufacturing company in 1960’s. The inaugural slogan was Ai ni Kotaeru white day i.e. answer love on white day. They have choosen the name “white day” as white is symbol of purity, love and color of sugar and the main ingredient being chocolate.
