Recently there have been many users who requested restoration of damages caused by account hacking issues; therefore, we would like to share important messages regarding how to secure your personal information online.

Joymax portal operates internal Security Audit regularly in order to ensure security of your account. Last week we have gone through complete check-up process during the security inspection in regards to the accounts registered in Joymax portals; as a result, fortunately, there were no suspicious lead of potential threats of account hacking issues present during the inspection.

■ Be Cautious of Phishing Sites
Recently there have been some damage- causing incidents due to phishing sites which misrepresent themselves as official Joymax site and illegally collect users’ personal information.

Game account information exposed by phishing sites have higher chance of having their accounts hacked and being abused by other crimes; therefore, you must double check the URL of Joymax official game sites and be very cautious especially when you are submitting your account information anywhere on the web.

■ Update Your Browser to the Newest Version

■ Change Your Password Periodically
Many internet users keep their account information identical in several different sites they are registered in. This way having your personal information exposed to outside source could cause multiple harms. In order to prevent such harms in advance, we encourage you to change your password periodically.
