Greetings from Silkroad Online!

A major skill balance update for Silkroad Online is scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

Below are the details of the skill balance update:

[Skill Balance Improvement - Chinese]

1. Party EXP bonus improved
- Chinese party EXP bonus increased to 20%

2. Skill series re-arrangement
(1) Total skill mastery level changed
- Max. character level x2

(2) Mastery Series Re-arranged
a. Re-arrangement

b. Force Mastery integrated

The level of Force Mastery is shared with other Force skills. When the Force Mastery skill goes up, the level of Cold Force Mastery, Thunder Force Mastery and Fire Force Mastery will also go up.

For example, if the Force Mastery level goes up to 10, the level of Cold, Thunder and Fire Force Mastery will also
reach 10.

c. Healing Mastery added

New skills will be added to the previous Force Power skills.

3. Force Skills / Weapon Skills Improved

(1) Duration and power increased for Force skills
a. Cold Force, Thunder Force and Fire Force series duration increased
b. Cold Force, Thunder Force and Fire Force series power increased

(2) Thunder Force Mastery > Thunderbolt Force series
- Number of transition increased to 5

(3) Fire Force Mastery > Flame Wave series
- Flame Wave – Burning, Flame Wave – HellFire frontal Area of Effect and target increased to 3

(4) Power of certain Chinese Weapons skills improved
- Bicheon Swordsmanship: Smashing Sword, Chain, Blade, Blade Force, Killing Heaven Blade, Petal Sword Dance
- Heuksal Spearmanship: Annihilating Blade, Heuksal Spear, Soul Spear, Ghost Spear, Chain Spear, Flying Dragon

(5) Heuksal Spearmanship > Ghost Spear series
- Attack range increased by 1.5 m

(6) New skills added to Chinese Weapons Masteries

4. Equipment Item Stats Improved
- Attack and Magic Attack improved by 20% and 10% respectively for Chinese weapons

[Skill Balance Improvement - European]

1. Skill Improvement by Class

(1) Rogue

a. Poison series > Poison Weapons, Vein Weapon
Duration increased to 12 seconds

b. Silent Expert series > Dagger Desperate
Physical/Magic Defense penalty reduced to 70%

c. Dagger Charge series cooldown reduced
- Wounds, Mortal Wounds, Screw, Combo Blow / Butterfly Blow, Prick

d. Skill requirements improved
- Power up skill requirements by weapon type removed for Crossbow Expert and Silent Expert series

(2) Warlock

a. Blood series > Blood Flower, Death Flower
- Damage ratio improved by 30%

b. Dark Mentalist series damage ratio and chance for debuff improved
- Blaze / Dark Blaze, Toxin / Toxin Invasion, Decayed / Dark Decayed, Curse Breath / Dark Breath

c. New skills added

(3) Warrior
a. Skill requirements improved
- Arms skill requirements by weapon type removed for One-handed Lord, Two-handed Lord and Dual Lord

(4) Bard
a. Low-level attack skills improved

5) Cleric

a. Recovery series > Healing Orbit
- Now recovers up to 10% HP for same level

b. Blessed Recovery series > Bliss Spell
- Skill effect retained only while Cleric Rod is equipped

c. Resurrection series . Reverse Oblation
- Buff automatically removed when skills other than buffs are used

d. Low-level attack skills improved

2. Equipment Item Stats Improved
- Attack improved by 10% for European weapons

[Skill Balance Improvement - Others]

1. Monster Physical Attack Improved by 10%

2. Skill Mastery Retrieval
- Retrieval to be made available even when Mastery level is 3 or lower

3. Party Monster Summoning Improved

(1) Party monster spawn requirements improved
- Party monster to be spawned for parties with 4 or more members

(2) Party monster spawning chance adjusted
- Monster spawning chance reduced when highest party member level is Lv. 5-70

Please note that these improvements may be subject to change in the future updates.

Oh no, not this... It was fine while they only had that bs in SROR. That just greatly reduced the chance of me ever logging into ISRO again.

I never even tried SRO-R, but I would like to. Maybe I'll download it in the next couple of days.

It's not that the skill system sucks so bad, I mean it is worse than the previous one, but it was fine in SROR as it was a new game. If they do it in ISRO however, my force glaiver will become pointless. Well, not that I play there anyways, but it's still nice to have some decent chars lying around if needed.

They're doing it wrong with those improvements imo, not even worth logging in and checking.
Still waiting for Silkroad 2, hopefully buy2play to see better community and no power sold in item mall.

Actually. this makes it pointless for me to log into sro-r. Guild and friends will keep me there though.
But yea.
I like this system of skills and I have tons of gold on isro. plus my wolf. Oh how I miss my wolf.
Plus I can get rid of that stupid hybrid bower of mine with the stat point reset gifts.
