Silkroadforums is going to go through a massive update.
This will add many features to the board. From a users aspect, and the administration team.
No real date is set. I was hoping the switchover would be this weekend.
We are developing the site on a second URL in the meantime.
There is a lot of work to be done on templates and scripts.
There may be some downtime while this change occurs, but hardly much.
For an overview of the new features that will be available to us, you can visit this URL.

cool a report feature, advanced search e.t.c.
well most of the things there we'll have on 3.0 (exept for one)
and i belive we should have a sub forums somewhere in here....

The layout for the subsilver template is much, much different from our own 
I will do my best to adapt it too look more like "SRF" for all our sanity.

Yay Finally! I was waiting to see this announcement posted, and it's really nice to see it being done. I hate phpbb, but I have to accept that phpbb is way more acceptable, and that I'll sure enjoy this update.

This looks good.. alot of things improved, so I can't wait for the update, but take your time to perfect the site (impatiently waiting ) nah for real so you can launch the site without having bugs, errors you know what I mean

No intention of allowing HTML in posts at this time.
Opens the door for WORLDS of problems
On my tiny guild site with PHPBB3, I did make some BB codes, like embedding utube directly into the post. Things like that are pretty neat.
