How's Malganis cuchulainn? Competitive PvP? A lot of big competent raiding guilds?

I feel like running arenas with a Destro lock for 2s and plus a healer for 3s. WIZARD CLEAVE!

Yeah, lots of people and guilds.

I run wizard cleave with druid instead of pally XD

Gimme a shout when you get there!

IGN is Stokes in case you're too lazy to look it up.

Yup, I know your IGN lol. Think I looked you up on armory once too... and just did again. I wouldn't call 1900 rating sucky to be honest. :/

ARGH I WANT TO DO ARENAS TOO.

Probably too late to do anything for S6, gonna try to get the tier 1 weapon and prep for S7 then.

Nah, not too late. You probably want to pick up full furious offset pieces and as much deadly/furious as you can just so you have a good amount of resil.

I'm sitting at 700 at the moment, with PvE head enchant and scribe's shoulder enchant. Furious offsets requires at least 1400 rating, just hope I can find a team to run games I guess.

I used to run Priest rogue on my rogue, it's sad he would even rage quit over tree/dk. that's such a hard counter it's not even funny. Oh and over the whole 70rating is even worse.
Thing that annoys me about arenas is the new system they put in. Right now i picked up a new 3s team, we're at 1802 now. Yesterday we were 1850ish or something. So we started it up today, had a 2:1 win ratio and ended up losing 50 points. Just irritating, winning 3-5 points then losing 15+.

Brah, that's because you're winning over teams with way lower rating than you and losing over teams with same or higher rating than you. The rating compensation point is fair, the only thing annoying about the rating system is that you start at 0 which requires a lot of games to get to 1500, anyways I give up arena with my mage at the moment. Been doing nothing but questing for Gs or raiding Ulduar with some baddies.

That said, pay attention to the Matchmaking Value (MMR) when the matches end, and try to win against higher rated teams.

Yeah I understand the whole system, it's just irritating when you log on, start doing arenas and simply have to call it because no high people are Qing.

- Also to the above post, you shouldn't even be running with 700 resil as a mage, unless you're talking about a different toon. My 3s mage runs with 532, mainly getting haste offset items, as well as 2pc 7.5, shoulders and legs for the haste as well as the set bonus. But if you are starting up with arenas as a mage, PMR 3s is defiantly a good start, or get a good priest for 2s. Only other 2s I know of that work with a mage is with a destro lock, a rogue, and I believe those are the only popular comps to my knowledge.

Then stop losing to the bad teams :P

It seems like there are a couple "brackets" you get when you queue up. There seems to be one from about 1500-1800, another from 1800-2100 and another from 2100-2300 and 2300+. These are just approximate, but it seems like if you're doing well enough and your MMR is high enough, the system bumps you up to higher teams. So basically, win more games and you'll fight higher rated teams. If you can't consistently beat teams below you, then that's a problem.

Yeah I agree with that, but when my mage screws up with CC, or resisted novas, Warrior DK cleave can simply charge, put up ms, and bladestorm while the DK pops every cooldown to be invulnerable to CC and they 1shot my priest, or me. Then again if you survive that it's over but still.

You're talking about 2v2 and Warrior/DK double dps team? The likelihood of seeing that comp more than 1-2 times a month is huge since it sucks. Lock one of them down and force a trinket on the other, then blind or something. Or sap DK and blow up warrior while your partner LOSes them.

Your mage needs to do a better job of controlling them. 2 melee team with no dispel should be easy for you. Have your rogue cripple kite if needed.

If only good mages without a 3s were easy to find. We're pretty much having to train this one up comp wise, he kinda knows how to play. Crippling kite is useless once the DK gets to the priest or rogue, with CoI, Desecration, and Deathgrip, very hard to peel a good dk.

If I ever see a DK I'll go straight to him and nova (and hope he actually gripped me while running towards him) then DF poly so he can't AMS out of nova and be immune to all my shit lol. Same goes with warriors with their lolstorm out of nova.

If he pops his AMS right after you nova him, he's stupid since it doesn't remove effects already on him. Getting him to burn it on a poly while he's novaed is good though.

I've rooted DKs plenty of times, they pop AMS and sit in roots while it wears off.

Good.

Unsnareable, unCCable people dishing out insane damage while the shaman is impossible to heal with wolf healing plus instant HW procs is completely fair.

Also, honor farming is gay, especially when you have more than one character.

Seems like AJ can't decide if which combination a warrior should go for sword/axe with str/arm pen.

Stokes, I'm running a cleave for 3s now, DK war shaman and usually our shamans gets instagib all the time, and I notice that happens more often whenever we play more defensive. Any help?

There's no such thing as playing defensive in WOTLK. If you're on the defensive, you're on your way to losing. Tell him to go ghostwolf while your DK and you use chains and hamstring to get people off him. You guys need to just be going apeshit on damage pretty much.

I don't know if she trinkets the wrong crap or what but she always just dies in a stun (especially by rogues) or globaled in a fear by wizard cleave (LoS I know). There's also a few occasions she just takes 3 fucking fears and suddenly the DK is dead.
