so what do you guys think.

http://blue.mmo-champion.com/1/23425636414-cataclysm-stat--system-changes.html

personally im looking forward to it. They're not getting rid of any Enh Shaman stats, just taking them off gear and by removing arp they can give us something more useful. Still means that theres going to be no Expertise on mail though since hunters won't be using it but thats ok...most of us were already gemming alot of haste or at least paying attention to it so thats fine too

Interesting.

But by the looks of it, the further you go into the expansion, the higher the hit need will be. I'm mildly sceptical about how this'll turn out.

Weapon Skill - This stat will be removed from the game completely. Classes will start with all the weapon skills they need to know and will not need to improve them.
THANK YOU!

Other than that, they look like some fun changes that should spice the game up.

I like where this is going, can't stand having to use addons like ratingbuster or spreadsheets like Rawr to determine if an item is an upgrade or not.

I just don't get why they still want to keep Spell Power on caster weapons. Can't they just replace it with Intellect like they're doing on everything else?

Crit immune in d stance, bear form and frost presence is a really bad move for pvp imo. Removal of ArP is the best pvp decision since.. ever. Introducing it was the biggest mistake.

It's to balance weapon power point-to-point in itemisation with melee weapons vs caster weapons. One point of SP is less points then one point of Int, so you get more SP from stacking SP onto something then stacking Int onto it, especially when at current IIRC Str and Agi both have a lower points cost, and with both having a 1:2 Stat:AP ratio in Cata, will be very handy in balancing.

What I'm wanting to know is whether this new parry system will stack. Like, if I parry one attack, then parry the 50% reduced attack, do I then take 25% for the next two hits? O_o

woutR; they have stated they'll be talented to be that, very much like Survival of the Fittest is currently. And yeah, they'll all be deep in their respective trees. (dunno about DKs though)

hmmm im assuming spellpower would be the equivalent of weapon damage. They could easily convert all that weapon damage into pure AP or Agi or Str but then you run into scaling and buffing issues. So keeping spellpower on weapons allows you to clearly see spell damage and give you spell damage without creating terrible scaling issues....

or what necro said...could be alot of good reasons...

Im looking forward to seeing what Mastery will actually do. Im glad some of this stuff is going, concentrate on less things. i cant wait to see what reforging does.

Well, we know at least what their intentions are, even if they're not 100% in stone right now.
