Ret changes are pretty fun. Definitely makes our "rotation" a little more interesting. Still pretty easy, but interesting nonetheless.

Huh, are your servers up already, or are you in the US?
Im patching atm, glad I preloaded it. For me it's time to abandon my DK I think, I never liked blood for tanking and now I'm forced to use that. I think i'll be bored till 4.0.3, gonna start leveling a druid then.

Still patching (done soon).

But fire mages have not 3 but 5 prime glyphs they can slot due to blizzard Farking up things. I'll post something later if we raid tonight.

man im so confused feel like a tard trying to adjust to my warlock might pick a dif spec i was always destro in the past atm i wouldnt say its complicated but just annoying i dont have enough room for all my casts which one has to be used before 80% other under 50% nd spam inbetween jeez why couldnt they least make it 1 more cast long trying to fit all 3 plus bane is annoying

ofc its subject to change as we learn what works and what dont but problem now is everyones spec is going to be the same with very limited choices to mix and match i dont like it too much fel gaurd destruction nd similar hybrid specs will never exist again

I LOVE HOLY POWAAAAHH!!!

I already played around with it in the PTR for a couple of days. And last night, I jumped into VoA and it was actually fun healing with the new system. I even chained heroics but had to leave CoS and get the dungeon debuff coz Arthas was bugged.

Getting 4 Eternal Glory procs in a row was sweeeeet!

COS after the 2nd boss when ya talk to him outside the town hall? We thought it bugged talked to him nothing and wasn't able to talk to him again but after like about a minute suddenly popped up active and we continued.

Not impressed really. My paladin's DPS has taken a major downturn, loosing around 3k on a test dummy, also not very happy with the druid changes either, or Death Knight, or Warlock. Priest is pretty good.

Ret won't shine again really until Cata when gear starts to be really loaded with Haste. Once you can successfully get your Crusader Strike GCD to 3 seconds, then you'll start to see the increase.

sort of getting my dps back up so far iv found a number of destruction rotations and it appears to be a bit more complex for full benefit searing pain should be used thoughout this will cause a lot of problems with threat so right now im trying to work my rotation if i can clear my hotbar to look like this

curse+bane-immolate-cb-conflag-soul fire - incinerate spam 100%-50% then searing pain 50%-0%

any other warlocks care to alter or give me any tips?

not looked at glyphs yet had a lot of trouble with my addons etc il look tomorrow or friday when updates to the addons have come nd the patch is stabalised but thoughts of this patch and the changes are on a up finally i cant get called retarded for using destruction haha afflic is the tards spec now with if im not mistaken a rotation of 3 casts maybe 4

My hunter is doing more DPS then pre-patch. It's not hard to adjust to Focus. At all.

Also loving Holy Power, great change. Also loving having to tell DPS in raids to cool their jets thanks to the threat changes. (most notably, their lack of threat reduction)

I hate having to hold back DPS.

Once I pop Zealotry and Wings, my threat skyrockets. It's insane.

Alot of the changes suck atm, but at 85 with scaling of stats and such it should be fine... makes me think of when 3.0 first came out...

I'm really loving the patch as a rogue.
Now that they have gotten rid of ap, its so easy to just gem for agi/haste once your hit capped. Also switched from double berserker to double mongoose on daggers and my dps has gone up by at least 2k on dummies.

Haven't healed anything on my holydin yet, but I've played around with the new skills and it looks interesting. I just hope that FoL dosen't become the new HL.

As ret my FoLs are hitting for ~6k regular and ~10k crits. I threw on Holy Gear and just spammed FoL on a buddy until OOM. The average was about 12k.

FoL is our emergency quick but expensive heal. DL is our default tank heal. HL is endlessly spammable but doesn't heal as much.

I'm hoping i'm doing something wrong, cause the healing as a holydin sucks now.
I can't go all out and heal like crazy cause I'm oom in 2 min, and I can't stick to my low mana skills cause they barely heal for shit. I really don't see why blizzard couldn't have left us with the old healing skills. If this dosen't get any better I'm gonna go tank or something, cba with this.

Okay, so after playing for a few days, I have come to this conclusion;

I hate my paladin. Ret is shit and so is Prot, and I have no interest in playing Holy.
I like my druid. Resto is somewhat the same but has the new tree for emergencies. I enjoy boomkin still.
I have a new found love for my Death Knight, who has been neglected since hitting 80 in 2008. He is in ilvl 200 gear and is pulling 6k dps single target. More importantly, it's fun.
My priest is meh.

Haven't played my warrior, shaman or warlock much so no opinions on those atm.

I'm well aware of that these changes will work on level 85 but we are still 80 so Blizzard might have forgotten that one.
Let's talk about pvp first. Bgs are bugged, you might not be able to see your own name on your scorelist, nameplates are finally fixed but meh that was just lame at first. Sometimes you just get randomly kicked with sated from battlegrounds. Wrathful weapons are available for everyone, and all the items below 2000 rating, lame. Sometimes I have to check my combat log to see what class killed me. Mages can basically finish me off in 4 seconds, within deepfreeze or something if I have no cooldowns to use(including pvp trinket).
PvE became even easier due to changes. Every single guild is now able to kill lich king in 10 and 25 man because the dps is so high and tanks got tons of hp with avoidance aswell. Healers are kickass too.
So at the moment I have no reason to play, anyone who likes this just doesn't know what wow is. Because at the moment this is not World of Warcraft, this is just bullshi.

Most people who don't like the 4.0 changes are the ones who got so used to how it was before, that now they can't adapt.

As for ret, it's a lot more fun now. Hit until Hit cap. Expertise until cap. haste until soft cap.

Easy mode.

Mages are still heaps of fun in PvE and PvP.

Solo'ing junk is also fun, but now I need to convince Garr and Gedon to give me bindings and Thekal, mandothingy, Anzu and Attumen to give me a mount.
