don't bother with Questhelper, the developer isn't going to update it anymore now that 4.0.1 has dropped. Just use the in game one. Not sure if Carbonite is still being updated.

If you're just leveling, you don't really need addons anymore, most of its built in game. There aren't any real must haves until you get to raiding.

Why would you need omen/recount for leveling?

I'd suggest you a few addons that might help you during your adventures in Azeroth(lulz).
OmniCC(cooldown tracker)
AtlasLoot(to wipe your time somehow between pulls or while you are on windrider)
Mapster(you might need coordinates)
Auctioneer(as it was mentioned before, you should scan the AH while you are leveling, so you'll have more data when you hit 80)
PowerAuraClass(this can be awesome, you can set up to show some icon or some animation on your screen once you pop a cooldown or one of your talent's effect turns on or just your trinket activates)
Prat(awesome chat frames that allowes you to copy paste stuff from your chat window)
Postal(a friendly mailbox unitframes)
Omen, Recount(in case you'd like to do some instances I'd hardly suggest you to have these, especially omen, recount is just for your elo)

If you're leveling as frost, if the mob gets to you before it dies, then you've got bigger problems than your pet keeping aggro.

minus frost but fire and arcane..then again with fire most mobs should be dead before they get to you aswell

Well for fire and arcane stuff should die too. I've tried all 3 to level and I feel like in any gear level Frost is the best. It's the most mana efficient, has the best survival and with pet, frostbite, FoF, etc just plain more fun than the other specs unless you enjoy spamming fireball all night.

Castbars (modified castbars for more info)
Tidyplates
Tukui ( i just use this ui, its very clean and modifiable)
Recount
Omen
Deadly Boss Mods(80 addon)
Grid (grid unitframes >>>>>> blizz party unitframes)
Shadowed Unitframes (customizable unitframes)

some of these arent really necessary and are more for vanity or personal preferance. If i'd suggest mods to you it'd be Omen, Recount and Grid.
