Heosphoro's Painting Adventure*Basic idea of this thread is to give people an insight on what I'm doing with this class project. In this thread you can ask questions on what I'm doing, how I'm doing it, and the techniques involved. I'm always open for criticism, just don't say "it's awful" without giving a reason why. I'll try to take the photo's with a camera for a more accurate depiction on the process, so please bare with the low quality pictures from time to time. I'll try as much as possible to get enough pictures to showcase it "evolving."
Tools:
Multiple Brush's(One's used n/a yet)
Acrylic Paint(Black/White)
16x12 Stretched Canvas(Recycled, there's white painted over it haha)
Any drawing pencil
Kneaded Eraser
Rulers for the 4 square grid
I'll add more if I use anything else.
The Photo Reference. Day 1. Quick 5minute sketch of the focal point, the pawn. It's somewhat inaccurate, the photo itself is crooked, so it probably looks off.
Day 2.Today, I got lazy, I only managed to sketch out and try to accurately place the checker box's. I somewhat failed, obviously noticable due to the multiple line marks, intersecting one another in an attempt to correct myself. And no I did not have an eraser :], but it won't make a difference once I start painting anyways, acrylics go over lead
Day 3.Didn't have time to work on it today, was caught up between key club as well as other activities, as well as helping design our class t-shirt :/
Day 4.Busy. I promise to show more progress soon.
Day IDK. Finished, finally. Webcam quality sucks, the two chest pieces in the back look much more hazed out and the gradation of value is more visible in real life.
