Post subject:  The Great Art Collection Thread!

Considering there's a variety of topics for music and wallpapers and whatnot in OTL, I figured why not have a topic for collecting interesting and fun art in AC :yay:

Naturally you can post anything. It would be nice to add some description as to why you think the art is amazing, be it sentimental or purely technical. If possible add the name of the artist and the specific work title (though I won't blame you if you lazy out with a set :P).
If you've got sets or really big images naturally post 'em in spoilers...

...keep it alive guys

Thus I shall begin!

Around the world for twelve months
Andrey Gordeev

I just found these while stumbling right before beginning the topic. It's pretty rare for me to stop and look at the crap I usually come across. The concept of this series just really amazed me :D. Seeing the world through the eyes of drivers all around the world. All the Stereotypes included, it's both humoristic as well as stylishly cartoony, although I guess it's not really the best opener post :|

I love that first guy's stuff a lot. I'm sure it's not a "wind" effect, though.

Why's the 2nd set so amazing :P?
I just see smudgy colours, I need some explanation :[

rewind effect as in rewinding a tape :P

Also love the black monkey, though I don't think the works are that expensive to make... You can buy a can of paint for 30 bucks and paint 2-3 rooms with it so... I spose you might reach the 100~150 price for paint for materials, but it's probably nothing compared to the selling price.

I just really love the colours in these 2. Everything seems to be emitting or reflecting light and the panoramic fish-lens backgrounds make it look all the more amazing. So many details as well, especially in the 2nd one.

There's just something very nostalgic and dreamy about these two...

Almost forgot about this thread, but I was looking for an excuse to post this o.o

Check it out, I found it on reddit a while ago.
Supposedly it's a concept art for X in the recently cancelled Maverick Hunter Megaman game.

Megaman X concept (cancelled)
artist: Unknown
Spoiler!

It's no Megaman X, but it definitely looks f*cking cool. Purely from a design perspective I absolutely love it! It's it's slick, it's retro, it has a bit of a power ranger feel to it that can be really appealing (lol) and the lightning on it is just Farking amazing. I can't even tell if it's CG or drawn D:
If it's CG they did a f*cking amazing job at making it look drawn, if it's drawn they did a f*cking amazing job at making it look realistic with the light and details.

edit:
I think it might've been real o.o
I found some stuff on google that I guess are also leaked screenshots...

It's been a long time since I've seen a design that could truly been described as monstrous. Most monster designs are so generic lately that they just don't leave an impression. I don't really know why it's the case, seems to me people just aren't watching the correct details.
Anyway, this one's a winner. If you saw this thing anywhere, book, game or movie it would definitely leave a lasting impression. Show it to you're kids? They'll never want to go trick or treating ever again XD

Quality of her stuff seems to be a bit on and off. I'm not really a fan of most of the fisheye placebo stuff, it seems a little bit forced sometimes or just doesn't meet standard.
But once in a while she makes really nice pieces like this, this is the stuff I sub/watch for :D.

speaking of which...

So I ran into a little Rayman music compilation on youtube, that was accompanied by some rather nostalgic-looking artworks. They're not really all great, but some stand out. Kinda thread the line between well-executed style and kind of amateur~ish fanart. But at least they certainly all have great use of color.

Sadly the artstation images are small, and the deviantart images are watermarked :/
There's clean high resolution versions of them somewhere out there, but they're hard to find :(
I'll post the few I can find... I welcome anyone to post more if they find them somewhere...
