Not a whole lot, it would seem. I know of nobody in real life either. A few friends used to play it, but it kinda phased out, I guess.

The invention of card games like this being played electronically has all but killed the card collecting side of them.

I thought MTG video games never actually hit it off properly :?

Well, the friends of mine who used to play with the actual card games rather quickly switched to the digital version before they eventually quit.

MtG is so in depth that I'm impressed by the people who do play it. I never got into the sit down card games though I had a lot of friends who were.

My stepdad had a huge metal ammo case full of old school Magic cards that he has since gotten rid of. I'm kind of curious now what was in there and if any of those have some sort of value to them.

On another note, did anyone actually play the Pokemon card game the right way? I collected a bunch of cards and energies and whatnot but never actually sat down and played correctly. Was it a well made game?

All I know is practically every turn required a f*cking coinflip.
I'd say that makes the game pretty terrible by definition...

I had a kid in my neighbourhood that played it religiously and had like thousands of cards D:
I once tried buying some. Bought like one of those little booster packs, but it was the wrong type of cards T_T

I only ever got into Yu-Gi-Oh, which was really quite fun, but I didn't have the budget to support it well. The previously mentioned kid, got decks and packs from his parents all the time so he was usually #1 :(

yugioh was fun but had too many major flaws namely card balance and the whole money card thing annoyed me as i tried to play competitive at the time and couldnt afford a play set of the money cards which hit $80 at the time.

MTG can be played in so many ways and is really easy to pick up although does look hard but one sit down game you learn all you need to go off and play more games.

shame your step dad got rid of them cards im always looking to pick up older cards not for the money cards just so i have a wider pool of cards to make decks from
