I've been login into SRO over the past few days to see whats going on and the game is very dead as expected... I then noticed that Joymax is having a unique monster event...they're spawning all the uniques in the game at once....So for example Lord Yarkan is spawned multiple times simultaneously in all his usual spots....That's right... 3 Yarkans all at once!..

I thought great!..I'll finally get to kill a unique for the first time ever in all my time playing SRO...The game is dead with very few people around and with so many instances of the uniques available to kill I am bound to finally get that screen shot at last so I can say I got a uni kill....WRONG!!!...Uniques were dropping dead within seconds from lvl 110+ who musta hit the pause button on their bots and started to rush to all spawn areas killing these uniques...

I thought wow....really?...This is still happening???...I remember in the past I couldn't get to kill any uniques no matter how hard I try because some high level attention whoring nub would come and take the kill...But I didn't think it would still happen in a dead game....I guess these guys currently playing SRO literally have nothing else to look forward to....

Yes. The game now mostly consists of high lvl chars who only have alchemy, pvp and unique killing to do.

I thought I was the only one these days who "came back" to the original Silkroad. Private servers lacked professionalism maintaining the game, the most private servers were led by kids, so I thought hey, let's try this again.

I found on my old account 1x prem +, 10x 1000x exp boosts and 13M gold. I started a new character, leveled up to level 50 in like 3 - 4 hours (paid plvl) and now I'm thinking how the hell I'm supposed to level alone to level e.g. 100, it will take again ages to reach that point, or to do like everyone else does... using a damn bot.

So do the official versions of SRO. It's just that they only manage to keep hold of the botters.

botters dont care about game play... what is there to do once uve spent a year configuring a bot to get you to 120...

leveling WAS the fun part of the game.

and dont say pvp because that shit was so unfair warrior cleric would rape everyone and everything no contest.

Let's just ignore the euro times because much more fun was had before that. And PvP was fun.

Well, before I played Salvation, I thought the same. But PvPing as CH is not as near as fun as PvPing as EU, especially on Salvation. I know that's because Fly tweaked skills and because of 11dg blues, but, PvPing as wizard was fun, because you had to take care of your HP, and still attack the opponent. It wasn't just lame 12345155123, as it is with most CH chars.

Group pvp is where it's at. But yeah, never been a fan of euros.

Euro blows....I never cared for them and I even hated it when I found out some of them were over powered...like the cleric warrior....That build made the game unbalanced...

Before Euros it was, let auto pot do all of your potting, and maybe use a vigor from time to time, then spam 123123123123123123...

Yes it was....it soo was.... It doesn't matter whether you accept it or not but for a lot of players who started out when this game first came on the scene it was loads of fun... There is nothing overall tactical about how you pvp in this game whether its with Euros or Chinese....90% of it is pressing buttons and hoping for that crit or stun or knock back...With that in mind the game could do without the boring Euros in my opinion...

It's not a complaint...I'm simply amazed...that's all...Thought the game was more dead than that...

At least there is something to talk about in GD. Otherwise it'd be dead. :)

It's already dead. This forum should be renamed OffTopicLoungeForums.com Seems more fitting. Maybe add a footnote with something like "With a little bit of that shitty F2P game we originally started the forum for, but don't really give two shits about anymore."

It's like braindead. Shows signs of life, but can't be revived and all there is to do is pull the plug.

nothing has changed from day 1 of the game only difference is we know more about bots, and ultimately the game is more popular. my point been back in the day we made the game fun by sticking together, now people take a quick look cant see no one around and quit rather then trying to make a guild or gather people to you.

I'v been in and out of the game for years and the reason i come back every time is i enjoy having fun with my guild mates, i never return to the same server always a different one, i always make successful guilds and without tooting my own horn here i'm good at it i'm known for it or at least was known, SuddenDeath is more likely more well known in sro then i am currently, but i digress i always make the most of what we have and you know what? we have fun without bots, sure when i next return looking at the state of the game i will have a more grey guild but does that matter these are players, these are people with something to add. i don't judge those who bot, never have, i judge those who are dicks in the game weirdly enough there are more legit dicks then bots.

Your problem with unique killing has always been the case, and i found it more rewarding waiting for hours to get a kill, i love luring having fun like when the game was new and no one could solo a unique. My last char was level 66, by this point iv killed isy 10+ times in a game with level 100 + roaming around and level 90's are able to kill isy with ease. i did this the same way i always i camped, i lured and played smart. yarkan is hard to do this with but not impossible.

Finally to put you lot into context iv never had a char go over level 80, i take my time and enjoy it, why burn out early on?

Just my oppinion of course, but iv been in the game a very long time atleast consider it.
