So will it suck. I couldn't tell you that. If it's anything like SRO now it will be fun till gold sellers over run it. But honestly I don't see it releasing anytime soon. It's been rumored for years. Like since 5+ years ago.

willuse a different engine. In fact, they purchased the license quite some time ago now. So I wouldn't really worry about that. Obviously, they don't want to change the game too much, though. Even on a new engine, it would still be nice to be able t recognize parts of the old game, seeing as this is actually Silkroad 2 and not an entirely different game.
Yes, it has been rumored for 5 years, but the difference is that we now have an official website up and running, and an official note saying that csro will close, which means that this game (Silkroad 2) will come in and take over. Also, on a Korean game-news-site it is stated that the game is set for release in December, 2013 (probably official beta).
Besides, you can already register for an account, which shows that at least it won't be all that long before the first people will be able to play the closed beta (if there will be any).
