Apparently there is a group of people with the name BlackHand over their head. I assure you that this is no approved by the main BHA and is not affiliated with the BHA of xian or athens.

We are seeing if we can reclaim the guild name. but as for now. it's a fake.

spotted a lot of 'hunter_vn's and 'theEMPIRE' of which have been noted that a majority of their uses bot like hell.

dont know if thats a spin off of nighblooms bunch on purpose or not, she might wanna clear her guilds name though.

anyway, couldnt care less about guilds outside the BH alliance in Venice, i just don't want the BH Legit playing to be tainted

I think the leader offered Dem to full access of the guild, but Dem refused since it would not be ther real blackhand.

full access.. not same as guild master. same rules must be enforced. if that name is being carried.

Well, in the defense of myself and my mates, being that I am head of BloodLine, all I can say is that I honostly did not know of the guild BloodLine on Oasis (or any other server they may inhabbit.) had I known I would not have named my guild thus. but whats done is done, so if they wish to reclaim it, contact Mass ingame.

Would someone please post the URL where I can find the copyright info. I was unaware that you had to reserve words and names from server to server.

ust want to make sure the nam of our guilds and alliances is carried on appropriatly.... MANY people from xian create new characters on the newer servers and i for one wouldnt want someone coming back and saying "blackhand, suddendeath etc are botters/assholes on X server so they must be the same on xian" it would just be a courtesy for them to give up the name and reform or adhere to our values.

Yes, its a shame that an individual started BlackHand on venice without the permission of pro. But, that is the way it works, seeing as how guild names do not cover all servers, but just one specific server.

You are worried that a guild with no affiliation to your own beyond name is going to disgrace you? i'm quite sure many are well aware (at least now) that there is no affiliation, it is not a branch.

Anyways, you cannot expect anything from the BlackHand of Venice, nor do you have a right to. The only rules they have to follow are their own, if you do not like it, than tough.

as an aside, duplication without permission is only a crime when there is an infringment upon copyrighted or protected materials, and seeing as how the name BlackHand is not (to my knowledge)copyrighted or trademarked, no crime was commited. but than again, since the servers are probably located within Korea, a whole different world of laws could go into play. but still, its a game, it happens, its really not as bad as you think.

one more log to toss on this fire. I come from Asheron's Call, really oldschool, yet i see guild names from AC, specifically mine(DarkKnights) Yes, it is a pretty generic name, but that should give me the right to be upset with the players of silkroad, because they could make a thousand gamers look bad. (by n by, guilds on Asheron's Call ranged in upwards of 10,000 members. when it was in its prime anyways.)

I have a few points I'd like to make regarding this. I'm part of the BlackHand from Xian. *Waves to the Venice people.* The fact they made Dem an offer, while hardly knowing him, to have full powers within the guild, was pretty cool, not to mention, trusting of them. Props to you guys. ^^

Yes it sucks on Dem's part that he didn't get to create BH Venice, but there are multitudes of other names. BlackHand is not a name, it's a Family. And just as Family's names change and vary, so can ours.

I do not feel that calling them unlegit is proper. Just stating they are not affiliated with the Xian and Athens branch would suffice. Calling them unlegit and fake makes it appear as an attack. They had no knowledge of the BH in existance and didn't mean to take the name in ill intentions.

I don't feel they "owe us" anything. They are just as much BlackHand as we are. Regardless of their rules or guidelines, it would be like telling every John Smith out there he has to either accept the family rules of the other Joh Smiths or that he must abandon the name entirely.

I'm sure no one meant to make things sound ill-worded, and I'm sure that each guild in it's own is unique and carries it's own.

The thing bein is I was headed to Venice to start the new BloodLine and numerous players were going to switch over with me from the Oasis guild.

Upon obtaining 500k for the guild cost, I see the name already had been taken. After looking around I notice it was no error, but that someone actually took the name BloodLine, and not Bloodline, nor bl00dLin3, but an exact duplicate.

I have since then joined Serenity, the Babel version of the Xian Serenity, without alot of the drama.

It may not be a 'crime', but what Pro said is true, these names mean alot to the users who represent them. The coincedence that there is an Epic, BlackHand, Serenity, TheEmpire, DxD, BloodLine and so forth is because these guilds previously existed in a state of being in high regards. Don't play off being ignorant to previous users holding these names on other servers, it just doesn't make sense seeing as all the guild names are duplicate/exact entries.

At least Empire, DxD, Serenity, and Epic have already stated they were in the guilds on the other servers.

I can't say the same about BlackHand and BloodLine -- envy runs deep apparently.

I have joined this guild, they are very nice people, I have talked to many and they all believe in what I do. Play and dont cheat/bot, and play fair. After talking to the master of the guild, he feels repentant for making a guild under Blackhands name, but he didnt know about BlackHand Xian or Athens. He wishes he could give it back, but they have built it up, level 2 in 2 days. After the master hearing that they have done this and Dem's attempt to make a BlackHand in Venice, but he doesn't want to give the guild up, he wants everyone in the guild to level as fast as they can and have the name of BlackHand a good rep. He also wants to confront Pro about his problem and wishes to maybe become the rep.

Fracture, if you had read an earlier post of mine, you would have seen that I stated I am willing to release the name BloodLine. as for envy, i don't quite understand what you mean. The only clan whom i've ever heard of for reputation outside of Athens was Blackhand. I would only envy them because they have an ubah name .

Now, I see AyaChan has the right idea and understanding. So I applaud her to that respect. It is a crap deal that your names were takin, but so is the way of things on a new server...in any game.

Once more I am going to extend the offer, but this time it has a price, because my guildies have a put a lot of work into leveling the guild and raising the funds to do so. So if you want BloodLine, contact me ingame (Mass) and we'll discuss

Serenity and Epic. Kinda wishing i had thought of serenty instead of bloodline, seeing as how FireFly is one of my fav shows...but minor details...as for epic, that name could have been chosen for a number a reasons, or it could just be a copy cat, but meh, its all moot now anyways.

You guys should have contacted our guild master earlier, now that we spent 3 mils on level 2 + all the gp and current gp towards lvl 3, it would kinda suck for us to start a whole new guild over.

No hard feelings against the other BloodLine people though. I'm sure there's a way to have everyone happy and knowing our guild master, I'm pretty sure he's willing to discuss it.

On another note :

I love kiva of the DxD Venice guild, he's my favorite 13 years old flaming e-thug. He's so good at talking people down on the internet that he's become my role model. I look up to him, I wish I was as cool as he is on the internet D:

Next time you play a video game and get killed, instead of crying to us for a refund, go blame the SRO staff for putting thieves into the game .... or dont run a 2 star all by yourself without an escort. And fyi your guild attacked one of our convoys earlier with thieves and an allied Guardian we couldn't kill to spy on our position. So before you talk shit on how we play the game, make sure your teammates act fair in the beginning, if your looking for a guild war go for it, it's only a game to us, and we will enjoy that, even if we were to get owned. PKing is part of the game, and it's a risk to take when you do a trade. Next time take a 1star.

You do realize that some people who are first-time players to SRO, reach level 20, have 500k, and make a guild with the same name of a guild from another server can be a coincidence? If somebody else thought of the name before, why can't they? Is it a rule that you have to do research of every single server before you play a game?

Well all I'm saying is BloodLine is a common name too, it's also the name of a game; Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

I am here on behalf of BloodLine (Oasis) that we, BloodLine, are fully aware that our name was used on Venice server. One of our original members decided to go and start a new char on Venice and was given permission to use our name and represent BloodLine in Venice. To our surprise we found out there was a BloodLine created so he could not do it himself. To the coinsidence of multiple guilds being "copied" onto the new servers, we do not blame any one for any reason of doing so. Im simply ask for the leaders of these guilds to respect the original founders and not give the rest of us a bad name...

Point being, go ahead take the name but represent for the beter
