The time you feel it is right , you can start a sub class at any time but you may need to keep it a few levels behind your main if you have sp issues .

Ok, sounds good, but mind telling me the ideal gap between my main mastery and my sub mastery? will having a second mastery affect my ability to harvest sp points. will it increase my harvest of exp points.

A second mastery won't affect exp / sp gain and a 3-4 gap between your level and highest mastery level (both masteries can be that level) is enough but don't take all the skills .
