Some time ago, I think I saw a post where someone explained how you can know what "server" SRO is connecting to.

For example, when I want to play on Ares, you can connect from .26 to .30 (as I saw on Rev6). I am wondering how you can which one SRO is connecting to. It should be possible, but I don't know how to do it. So if anyone would like to explain, I'll be really thankful :yay:

open SRO window, hit Start
open a DOS prompt:
-start-run-cmd
-type netstat -a<enter>
look for the one that ends with w/e number 26-30
depending on the quickest one, change hosts file to force all connections to one server. I have mine set to .30 lately

Sorry, too quick of a reply, hope someone else has more time.

Ok, thanks, but where should I look? There's a lot of things and I don't see anything which ends with 26/27/28/29 or 30. Should I look with Foreign Address?

And how do I change hosts?

Thanks for answering :)

Whats with the netstat -a command prompt...how do i know which log-in server is the fastest...?
i use netstat -n to know on which log-in server im actually trying to log in...
But i never knew that a command prompt -a,could tell me which server is the fastest..

If it is true that by opening the prompt command, and typing the netstat -a command that it tells me what server is the fastest..explain me how,and where to look at my dos ip's to know what server is logging in quickly.

Thank-You for answering my question :)

http://commandwindows.com/netstat.htm

In this instance the only thing someone would use it for is to check the IP address or server name, so you could edit the hosts file and put in an IP address that you would ALWAYS connect to.

But yeah, last couple of days, I haven't been able to log on my alt using the usual tricks :/
