But why?

I quit when 100 cap came out, so I dont know what's going on now..

U can't say it's just better. But most ppl now can afford buying drugs, they don't mind the slow speed and use Fire that hits harder and gives better mag def and Fire Wall as well. But i wouldn't say Light sucks, Light is good too.

If a light/cold nuker and fire/cold nuker pvp, the fire/cold nuker will win.

Fire is the better choice for pvp. Light is the better choice for PvE.

@Tasdik only there are other builds too then just the int nukers.

But it comes down to this: light only benefits you with the, I believe, 17% increased magic damage skill.
While fire has better nukes, fire wall, fire protection series, and some other stuff I cannot think of atm.

This, if you look at the build in a pvp-based way.

Light gives you increased parry and increased speed. Cold will give you better physical defense. Figure out which you'd prefer.

This one was about Light or Fire. INT can't skip Cold.

Solo Pvp - Fire/Ice Has better chance against int builds. Light/Ice has better chance against str builds.

Group Pvp - Fire/Ice has fire wall, and extra nuke. Light/Ice has Mag dmg inc, parry inc, dash.

Fire/Ice vs Light/Ice, fire will win due to higher defense. Fire/Ice vs Glaiver compared to Light/Ice vs Glaiver, Light has better chance since it's dmg hits higher. I've compared this a bunch of time. If you have two nukers hit each other, obviously the fire nuker takes less dmg. If you have them hit the same person, the light's dmg is higher.

With a decent set, you can get the same/even better parry ratio than the lightning buff gives you. Fire probably doesn't end up being like 17% stronger than light in terms of damage, but it wouldn't be too far off. Drugs are faster than grass walk.

As said before, light = pve, fire = pvp.

Light is 22% mag dmg increase, not 17. Even with a high parry set, light will have higher parry due to buff and passive. You can't compare builds and just assume one has a better set... With that logic, fire nuker wears armor and light nukers wear garm, now light has higher mag def.

Fire = pvp against int chars, Light = pvp against str and pve.

In group pvp, Light nuker gets holy spell and mag def buff from cleric. Fire nuke gets speed from bards. In group pvp, light is ahead thnks to the mag dmg buff, parry, and dash. Fire has fire wall which isn't that great in group pvp, but it has an extra nuke.

Wasn't disagreeing with ya mate. Just sayin.. You used to be able to get the same (or very similar) bonuses with a good set.
