Post subject:  [GUIDE]: Multi-hitting attacks/skills guide

This guide is focused on the many skills in SRO that can attack many mobs with only one skill. Some new players seem to get confused on the modifiers which make them the way they are. I have decided to make a guide describing each skill and what the modifiers do.

There are many different attacks that can multi-attack (as I have named it) and I will decribe each and list the skills which use it. -Please note that all of these attacks agroes mobs when they are struck.

Simultaneous Attack
Transfers
Penetration
Front range radius

Simultaneous Attack

This is where you cast your attack, and the epicenter of the damage is defined at your target. This means that the target you select will be attacked, and within a certain range of the target, other mobs will be damaged.

Acronyms used: FRR= front range radius (the damage radius from the target in metres. SA= simultaneous attack (the maximum number of targets possible, including the original target chosen by you.)

Bicheon:
soul blade force: FRR 2m, SA 3

Heuksal:
Dancing demon spear: FRR 1m, SA 3
Jade breaking spear: FRR 1m, SA 3
Spirit crash spear: FRR 1m, SA 3

Pacheon:
Beserker arrow: FRR 4m, SA 4
Demon arrow: FRR 4m, SA 4
Devil arrow: FRR 4m, SA 4

Cold:
Snow storm ice rain: FRR 6m, SA 5

Lightning:
Shock lion shout: FFR: 2m, SA 3
Heaven lion shout: FFR 2m, SA 3
Earth lion shout: FFR 2m, SA 3

Fire:
Flame-wave wide: FFR 6m, SA 5

Transfers

An attack where the strike goes first to your chosen target, then consecutively follows through to another target, from shortest distance from your selected target to longest.

Acronyms used: TR=Transfer range (the range at which it is possible to achieve a transfer) Ts=Transfers (the number of transfers you can have, including the target chosen by you.

Bicheon:
Snake sword dance: TR 7m, Ts 3

Lightning:
Wolfs thunderbolt: TR 10m, Ts 3
Tigers thunderbolt: TR 10m, Ts 3
Thundertiger force: TR 3m, Ts 2
Thundersky force: TR 4m, Ts 2
Thunderking force: TR 4m, Ts 2
Thunderdragon force: TR 5m, Ts 2

Penetration

When an attack penetrates, the distance (in a line) from you to the mob you are attacking is the spot where mobs will get attacked. There is also hotspots behind you, and to the back-right and back-left of you.

Acronyms used: Ps=Penetrations (how many possible penetrations you can draw from the attack, number includes the original mob attacked) On a side note, dam. -#% means how much percent of the usual damage inflicted gets deducted when it penetrates a mob other than the target mob selected.

Heuksal:
Wolf bite spear: Ps 2, dam. -35%
Waning moon spear: Ps 2, dam. -35%
Yuhon spear: Ps 2, dam. -35%
Flying dragon flow: Ps 3, dam. -35%
Flying dragon fly: Ps 3, dam. -35%

Pacheon:
Autumn wind flame: Ps 3, dam. -35%
Autumn wind snake: Ps 3, dam. -35%
Autumn wind blood: Ps 3, dam. -35%

Cold:
Frost nova wind: Ps 3, dam. -0% (1 damage hit anyway)
Frost nova storm: Ps 3, dam. -0% (1 damage hit anyway)

Fire:
Flame wave burning: Ps 3, dam. -35%

Surround Range Radius

This type of attack means that when you target a mob and activate the attack with this attribute, you create a radius around your character which mobs will get attacked if they are in it.

Acronyms used: SRR=Surrounding range radius (the measurement in metres which decides how far out of you the attack will have effect) SA= Simultaneous attacks (how many mobs will get hit, including the targeted mob)

Heuksal:
Ghost spear petal: SRR 2m, SA 5
Ghost spear prince: SRR 3m, SA 5
Ghost spear mars: SRR 4m, SA 5

Bicheon
Petal sword dance: SRR 15m, SA 3

Cold
Frost nova woods: SRR 5m, SA 5

Well, that does it for this guide. I appreciate any constructive critisism, as well as any tips that can make this guide better and help more people.

Nice guide but as for the penetration description, i still don't quite get it.

Let's say i am attacking a mob in close range then i decided to use flow dragon right behind me. (note the monster i am attacking is not dead yet). So i will turn my back around the monster (180 degress) around and threw my spear to the next monster.

Let the monster i attack first be A and the monster i hit with dragon flow be B. My questions are

1. Will A get hit by the dragon flow? I am asking this because i see in youtube, somehow it can dmg the monster A
2. If A is not hit by dragon flow, monsters around B will get hit by dragon flow (up to 3 monster) am i right? So in other words, the penetration somehow is a dmg area since it is not perfectly a staright line?

Thanks for the feedback.

To answer your question, both mobs A and B would recieve damage from the flying dragon flow. Mob A would recieve less damage (hence the -35% damage roll) but it would recieve damage nevertheless. Mob B would recieve the brunt of the attack. (A=the old one, right? B=the one you FDF'd)

I began to understand penetrations after my second reroll as an archer with autumn wind. I experimented with the penetration effect for a while and discovered how they work. I probrably should have worded that passage a lilttle better, lol.

In summary, I can say that penetration definitely attacks a mob within reaching distance of behind you, as well as the mob you target (this is for ranged attacks) For close-attacks, I'm pretty sure that if any mobs are walking behind you, they'd also recieve damage.

Hope this answers your question

Wow excellent information. This reveals that bow DOES have something that the other weps don't: better multi-monster attacks. 8)

Nice guide.

What do you mean by the back right and the back left in the penetration section? I always hit monsters behind me but im not sure what you mean by back left or back right.
