Let me clear this up.
Altogether you need 150+k sp to get 40+ mastery with good lvl skills.
If you farm first;
Get skills first and play for fun later

Farm later;
Be weak as hell and then after you torment yourself to farm..

Basically;
If you grind you will suck at the end, thats that.
You need sp to be strong and you have a choice, be strong later or be strong now.
Doesn't matter when you farm it all depends if you do or do not.....
It's as simple as that, no need for charts, what? are we in math class now
:x

OK sorry for the late reply but:

I want to play this game, have some fun, and get stronger.
I don't have to be the strongest person in Silkroad though. And hell, I am NOT planning on calculating with formulas and tables and all such things, math in school is more than enough.

What if I just keep a gap of about 5?
I know that won't make me the strongest player ever but that way you farm a bit too, not?

Forgive me if this is all off, I never made it any further than lvl 18 before getting bored.
Now, a few months later, I started playing again...

Hey, that's exactly what I was thinking of, my character's only level 13 and I'm dead bored from all the farming even though I only got a 7 level gap. I don't intend to be the 'strongest' player either, besides what's the point of playing a game if you don't get to enjoy it?

farm.

do it at 16.

i've farmed at 16 and again now at 6x and it was nicer at 16, though not bad in the caves if you can hold your own.

i farming a good 100k sp right now. price to pay for a fully farmed character, esp. a hybrid.

my build is a good 230k-250k sp total T.T

At a 5 gap I don't think your can hold more than 3 masteries and skills w/those.

I'm only interested in fire, lightning and heuskal, and am putting skills in lightning only for the grasswalk.

So far if I am interested in just farming enough till level 35, I require 13,746 sp, so is this 5 level gap idea still feasible?

Sorry for bringing up old topic, but yeah 5 gap is more than enough for 2 trees and one sub tree.

The thing about farming is, its just so you don't run out of sp when you take on 3+ masteries and you're level 50+ and broke ( no sos gear) .

So the moral is, if you're only taking 1 weapon tree and 1 force tree, you DON'T NEED TO FARM. But if you take more, then have fun sp farming i guess.

If you're new though, I really don't recommend farming, it gets boring way too quick when there are so many better things to do - trade/hunt/thieve, play with the market, alchemy, pvp, etc. Just have fun the first time through don't worry so much about the end game there's always room to adjust sp later on.

Good luck and have fun!!

haha charts. which i dont know wat it means. its math XD

bacially farming means, saving up sp enough to level up your mastery
as it is easier to sp farm at lower levels and when u save sp @ wider gaps in low level and you farm like 150k sp or so. You close your gap to 0 and you will shoooot up in level really fast. And you farm enough @ lower level so you can hve enough buffs/skills to help u level later on.

if you farm @ higher level like me cuz i didnt farm enough during low level so i farm in cave and its crowded and it takes forever.
