Not really. Managing a pserver is incredibly easy, although if the update landed Id be more busy than post launch due to insane amount of scheduled events that pair up with new systems.

Managing is never the issue and 3 people are enough to run a server. Problem is in the DB editing. Joymax system is pure garbage and theres just too many bugs to try and workaround and too little time.

That might have something to do with the fact that the game launched in 2005 and was already being developed in the beginning of the 2000s.

And again, You guys coulda have asked some help. I know corruption and etc are a issue but there are good honest people out there who gladly will help. I for instance do know my databases. and i would have had no problem helping you guys out with it.

Well I already offered them some Models since I know Perry is able to Import them quickly when those are already converted correctly to the OBJ Format.

Even the newest things like a new floating Grappet or a totally new Unique brings a lot of Players back since not a single Server has yet such Custom Features.

It's sad to see such a good Server going down, the Community wasn't bad at all, speaking of the GM's, never had problems with them and even if I received some Critic from them they surely never meant it in the bad Way =P

We don't have these because we can't edit animations yet. Perry has made progress on that though.

That doesn't prevent you from implementing Static Models such like Statues, Floating Stone Objects or whatever like a floating Sphere next to you =P

Ya, I know, not the best replacement, somehow it killed the Texture of the Object where it stands ....

I had the best Result with Animations from the Muigjis (Whatever they are called...), floating Objects won't sink into the Ground, just moving a bit weird. Guess Ong's Fly Animation might be even better for that.

Not sure if Perry has the Strength to continue because of the SRO Community (Totally understandable, everything gets ripped immediately or everyone claims Programs by themselves...)

I start Alpha testing my server in like a week. Maybe we can work something out. I'l have to get a beter understanding of the DB first thoug. getting there kinda already so.

Already got a Server where I will work, though it's pretty quiet at this moment since the Staff there is quiet.

Anyway, I believe Venture did open at the wrong time since another Server basically sucked the Players out of Venture in terms of Botting ...

These things don't work out for me that well. When I join a pserver with ppl from here I usually end up grinding alone.

Most people do, no group quests in sro, no events, nothing that promotes grouping besides euro parties. Rift even has features that lets you auto join public groups for Rifts and area events, or groups doing quest chains and stuff like that.

Even though this thread doesn't serve much purpose anymore, should probably stop talking about a completely different game here. Rift thread, other games, go dur!

I was impressed by it before even killing first mob. It blew me away that you can play by downloading first 150mb from 10 GB client. Rest auto downloads during gameplay by prioritizing stuff that is currently needed. Also it's possible to play as guest without even registering, good for someone who just wants to have quick look around.

Yes, I love their Launcher. It's really a great game I'd highly suggest it. I recently upgraded all my computer parts and so I can run it on Ultra and it's visually stunning along side great gameplay.

There's not, all the 60s do is spawn camp new players and whatever the Rift version of battlegrounds is. PvE server is the way to go, especially cause they added new content with the F2P patch.

Yeah it'll die down in the next couple days-weeks. It's all the F2P kiddies who will get to 15 and quit.

The BR's are already invading, great. Bad enough that I have to deal with those idiots in Tera, now here too.

For those not familiar, think turks, but 10-20 times worse. Had a guy in a Tera group last night who spoke no English besides cussing, and did what you weren't supposed to do during this specific boss at least twenty, thirty times and nearly got himself killed probably about that much too. Basically, they're complete idiots
