My fave bow build will always be 90 fire/light 30 cold.
but force looks interesting, just buy 100% speed pills for speed :P

Why people do 90 light i will never understand... 60 is much better.

Also, if you go force, you must go 90 to even hope that status will take affect in pvp, and only on chinese characters. It leaves you with only 20% mana shield from 30 ice (which is low). Go 60ice/60 light IMO.

Lol I hope you're not referring to this guide? This guide is for 90 Pacheon, 90 Fire and 90 Force with 30 Cold/Light... so why are you talking about 90 light and force not being 90?

IMO this is the best Pure STR 90 cap build in terms of strength and fun factor. The only problem is, the guide isn't accurate and the author hasn't commented on it since I pointed out his mistake.

I agree, although I wished the author would reply to these comments, perhaps he quit SRO, and left the guide to die... There's so many good debates to debate with for those who posted in the thread, but I can't pick my build without full input...

The speed is NOT worth it. You can buy Speed drugs which give you the same amount of speed that Lightning does, Fire is much more powerful and provides you with much more defence.

I don't think so, but In case you want the 90 Light so bad, then you should get rid of Force instead of Fire, I think Fire is a must for any Str based char.

Edit: I mean technically you can do that build :P what I mean is I think Fire is still very important, more than either Force or Light (for Strs)

looks nice BUT,

Ditch force (or make it lvl 30(p0werleveling reasons))

PAcheon 90, Light 90 Fire 90. hf

90 light = shit.

Pacheon 90, 90 ice, 90 fire. Speed drugs can be bought, even MADE with alchemy. Parry can be made up for on gear easily. The parry isn't even different tbh..... 15 parry difference + time... WOW [not]... mag % sure mag inc for the SMALL Dmg u do, no not helping. 30% snow shield, passive ice, and more ice defence, even ice imbue... YAH better then force + light lulz. Force just gets pilled off with pill bug, dont expect ppl to play fair. IMO force = waste

The slightest difference makes ALL the difference. And it's not only about imbues, it's about defence and other factors. 90 Light is a no-go for Pure STR characters, end of story.

Hey,

Nice guide so far, maybe you could explain why did you take fire/force/lightning/cold as your masterys... For example im quite a noob and where the hell are u gonna use force for O.o

WhyKillMe

force is pretty good for example mastering all the resurrection skills can you give the ability to not only resurrect others but yourself. But Force is not needed to you can actually get the finally resurrect skill in my opinion

that you have to know yourself. if you want to do this build then go fire/force (good for jobs/fortress and pvp). or do the normal fire/light bower.

i am trying the force/fire version because i want something new. but i still dont do jobs and etc :D

good looking guideImage

I dont know what u think, but I personally think this bow build with force sucks.
I pvped with a dude in my server named YourKiller, a force bower that like to go around server claiming himself the best bower in the server. He didnt even stand a chance against me. All he did was casting curses over and over again, which I just use decurse pills to neutralize it when I attacked him. I didnt even have to use dagger on him, just need my 2hand skills. only 1 crit from first daredevil hit, the second follow up and hes already on the floor.
No point taking force mastery.

ur wrong. Ur probably fighting a noob guy who doesnt know the secret pwnage skills strategy of bowmens..

Really good guide for bowers!
But I have one question: If you are full STR bow why should you take snowshield for? I know it helps for lower phy dmg.. But you have enough HP so you can better make yourself stronger with Lightning. (My Opinion)

Well, if you want to save SP, there really is no reasonable point in leveling it as a pure STR. If you maybe have some spare SP (or a sosun weapon), I don't really see a reason to not take it.

Can light can sub for fire? Even though alot of debate has argue this, I wanted to find out if phantom is really owrth skipping out. I have seen phatom working well with a bow.

Run+strong bow+combo?

I don't really understand what you are trying to say, but lightning definitely has it's pros, as cold has it's own, both are different. Basically, if you want speed/mobility go lightning, if you want defense, go cold. It's up to you what you'll choose.

My rushed reply was definetly confusing. :P

What I ment was that continusing the debate for ligh or fire as main imbue/element tree. Since fire just provides damage buffs and magical def, but light gives you increased speed, teleport, parry(which can be counted as defence).

This is a guide. I don't actually see a problem in it being old.

Just to start, parry ratio changes pretty much nothing. I don't count it as defense, it just makes you use a little less pots on the very long run, lol. Lightning gives you in fact increased speed and good mobility, while fire gives you physical damage, magical defense, immunity and fire wall (having in mind you're a pure STR). In my opinion, the best agile build for a pure STR Bow currently is a 100pacheon/100fire/80lightning/20cold. If you don't mind moving slower, but want to have extra defense, and an extra very useful imbue, going for 100pacheon/100fire/100cold would be a good idea. It's all up to you anyways.

Not a bad guide, but adding a little more detail wouldn't go a miss.
