Rift: Planes of Telara, formerly known as Heroes of Telara, is a 3D fantasy MMORPG developed by Trion Worlds (also formerly known as Trion World Network).
Rift: Planes of Telara is set in the fantasy world of Telara, a land that is being continuously torn apart by dimensional rifts. These rifts play an important role in the game's unique dynamic events system, whereby players or developers can trigger key events that can have significant effects on the game world, ranging anywhere from minor events to events that alter the game's landscape or even open up new areas. Dynamic World: Every player experiences a different adventure in the living, breathing world of Telara. Rift: Planes of Telara™ has all of the traditional quests and deep story arcs you expect from a fantasy MMO role-playing game, but there is unpredictability to life in Telara that guarantees even familiar terrain can offer new dangers and opportunities.
Whether it’s a previously peaceful farm being ravaged by demons, a tranquil forest glen suddenly ripped apart by a violent rift, or merely an unassuming traveling merchant with astounding wares, spontaneous events are taking place all across Telara for you to discover and take part in.
The ebb and flow of activity in Telara is always changing. Thousands of unexpected encounters are occurring at any moment, making every adventure unique — with more being added all the time. And just like in real life, you can revisit favorite haunts to see what's different, adding a novel sense of exploration to even well-trodden ground. THat logo isn't a total and utter rip-off of Aion's. Nope, not at all. *facepalm*
Some companies these days, I swear...
and yet you play RoM that is a total copy of WoW, which wouldn't surprise me if their next expansion will be called "Chapter 4: Wrath of the Fitch King".
I bet just because the logo got some resembles to the Aion makes it a total Aion clone, it would make more sense if they copied WoW since Aion aint that successful here in western market.

I believe you'll find I in fact don't play RoM. Though by the sounds of it, spontaneous events sounds like a feather out of the cap of Tabula Rasa, and we know how well THAT did.
ye, a game that probably have been in development just as long as GW2 is a copy of it.
Why can't I understand what you said? Mindfuck.
What I thought you said was that it was a copy of GW2, how ever I believe this game have been in developement just as long as GW2 so I doubt it is a copy of GW2, how ever when reading around at the forums many say that is 50% WoW and 50% Warhammer, we just have to wait and see.
The first closed beta starts today and just lasts this weekend, and I got invited to it, on the most LAME weekend ever! Today I am heading for a party, and tomorrow I take care of a couple of lame dogs. FUUUU
Yeah, the game is pretty awesome, just some stuff that bothering me.
The global cooldown, it's way to long. The quests are to easy, the PvE seems to be that overall. The fps as you said need to be fixed The graphics aint that awesome as the videos and screenshots put it out to be. But graphics aint all.
Hopefully they make the game better since currently it feels like you are following a tunnel, hopefully they add a bit more of freedom into the game.
But I have to give Trion props for running such a smooth beta, have found close to no bugs except that if you change the graphic settings sometimes it wont actually change.
Next beta event is at 17t December, where you can choose the other faction (The Guardians) Hopefully I get selected for that beta test too, Guardians is the one who got my interest. (Dwarf Ranger ftw)
Yeah trion did really great sorting most the bugs out, they responded really fast. Can't wait when we get to test both factions, opening up rifts so it can invade the other factions cities will be epic.
You mean another grind fest? And yes, every MMORPG is a grind fest, even if the grinding is quest based. It's all about how they hide it.
typo sorry
I'm looking forward to this.
Yah, I gonna keep a look out for the retail box on various swedish internet game stores, kinda cool that ubisoft will be the distributor for the european market, but what I've understanded they wont host it, just take care of the retail boxes etc?
