I was thinking of making a thread for halo 4 never could be bothered too ugggh and I still need to pre order it as well lol. Though I was hoping to get to inheritor rank before halo 4 comes out but I'll just have to stick with forerunner I guess..

I'll be getting it at launch because well..its halo. I doubt I'll be playing it much though, I don't play xbox often anymore and when I do I'm by myself so I prefer CoD (hopping in and out of games much easier) or just singleplayer games.
I know about the new joining a session in progress, maybe that'll make it more fun to play it solo.
I pre-ordered the limited the day is became available. Not sure how many of you read the books or follow the cannon, but as of the newest trailer(first post) waypoint released, I'm thinking that the Didact may be the enemy. He was the leader of the Prometheans after all.
In Halo: Anniversary Terminals, 343 Guilty Spark suggests the destruction of the Halo will awaken and anger the Didact. In another one of Halo Anniversary's Terminal videos, Guilty Spark remarks: "what I would not give to have a single company of Prometheans here. They would restore order with their trademark lethality, although... that would mean he would have to be here, too. And without the Librarian around to temper his rage, well... These Reclaimers might almost prefer the Flood."
Didact seems to be an angry person.
From Primordium book
Spoiler!
A duplicate of 343 Guilty Spark recounts Chakas' story from the Forerunner/Flood war. He later seizes control of an Office of Naval Intelligence ship, puts the crew to sleep, and sets course for the Librarian's last known location, claiming she is still alive (Halo: Primordium). Chakas' was an ancient Human that Guilty spark was created from. NOT forerunner like previously believed.
Excited about Halo 4. Don't know if I'll buy it right away though. Already bought Dishonored, Madden NFL 13', and will definitely be buying Ac3. So Halo 4 might get bumped back a bit. But we shall see.
still some time left so i won't dig in too deep just yet, but yeah, getting this game at midnight release most likely. i actually don't really like the join in progress idea but from my understanding it only applies to 'social' playlists so to each their own. i know i hate being thrown into a game where my team is getting completely destroyed off spawn in cod. which is usually the reason people leave games to begin with.
multiplayer videos that are old but worth a watch:
Friends and I just decided this would be our game for a while. It'll be the first time I'll take my 360 seriously Got a brand-new free slim one from my friend since he got it with his laptop.
60$ for the game, 60$ for a year of LIVE, really not that bad.

Screw it, I thought that I could plug my 360 to my Laptop (yes it does have HDMI Input, not just output) but for some odd reason it doesn't work. I want to play in my room man .

Don't forget another $60 on DLC map packs.
if you count through the entire life of the game you maybe hit that mark.. not to mention map packs are an optional thing, i played 20 days of game time on reach and didn't spend a cent on map packs.
the only game i know of that makes it a hassle to play stuff if you don't buy is gears of war 3, which is one of many reasons it's 12th+ in the activity scale on live.

$25 actually for Halo 4 Pass plus you get 2 Unique Helmets and a Unique Emblem. The toaster face and Orbital which doesn't look too bad. Hopefully they keep the Halo Reach standard of not limiting playlists to require DLC and just make a single DLC only playlist.
I'm getting it at Midnight as well but I will only have time to maybe go through the first campaign mission seeing as I have class that day

No, but really, I wish I could play Halo 4, it looks awesome. I'm not about to buy an Xbox when the new one is going to be out by X-mas '13.
That's been the rumor for 2011 and 2012. Until I see an official announcement, I'm not holding my breathe. Frank O'Connor has mentioned that the Xbox is still a very viable console because they keep finding new ways to use it and explore the existing technologies in it.
While most halo games are over hyped and average at best. This one seems the worst of the lot...another trillogy just to make even more cash, no thanks
spoken like a guy who is only into the single player/co-op honestly. halo has always had a pretty decent single player experience but it has made its name as being the top console shooter (halo ce through first half of halo 3) and top competitive console shooter (halo:ce through early halo reach)
i don't see how you can say it's any more over hyped than any console games these days really. it pulls in big numbers and holds big numbers consistently with each game.
not to mention they change more per game than gears of war and call of duty combined.. the other two console shooters on the map at the moment.

I played the first version on PC for a little bit and didn't know what to make of halo back then....The same is true for halo now.... It has appeal but not enough to grab me indefinitely..

I realized the other day I've been playing Halo since I was 11. At 22 now, that's half my life span with one series.
Halo grabbed me from day 1 with the awesome multiplayer and amazing story. Plus Master Chief is one of the most badass protagonists in any game.
