Well crap, I missed the first conference apparently...
Oh well, it was just EA, and it was very small it seems.

I probably won't make a huge thread this time, so here's a website that can lay this out better than I ever could:
https://2019.e3recap.com/

Reddit archive megathread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments ... d_archive/

With that said, is it just me or does that Starwars game actually look solid o.O?
There was a really garbage trailer for it released a while back, but this gameplay, early as it is look really nice actually. It seems like a mashup between a Soulslike and a Prince of Persia? A bit like the Darksiders games, which I just happen to be playing now <3.

I haven't been excited for an EA game in years...

hmm... it hasn't been the most exciting E3 but there's a few notable things. I haven't dived too deep yet so take my comments with a grain of salt :P

- Baldur's Gate 3 is a thing
- EA's SW Jedi: Fallen Order looks interesting (imo)
- Cyberpunk 2077 release date is April 16, 2020 (for now anyway) also it has Keanu Reeves
- Microsoft Flight Simulator is probably the most technologically impressive project of E3; seems to be using Azure cloud to recreate our entire planet from the looks of it?
- Double Fine has been purchased by Microsoft... could be good, could be bad... probably not too bad actually
- $180 controller for xbox (lol)
- Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition looks glorious.
- Microsoft in general has been the highlight so far.
- No sony conference at all this year...
- Devolver awesome meme show as usual
- Devolver's Carrion looks cool, My friend Pedro launches 20th of June.
- Bethesda was complete garbage, save for maybe 'Ghostwire Tokyo'
- Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 woop woop
- 5 Farking Tom Clancy's games in one conference wtf ubi. How do you even keep using his name for so much shit after he ded D:
- Roller champions, a rare actual fresh idea from ubisoft...
- Songs of Conquest looked kind of nice to me: pretty pixel-styled Heroes of Might and Magic type game
- No more heroes 3 :PogChamp:
- Astral Chain looks interesting
- Sequel to Breath of the Wild in development :o

I'm all about that Google Stadia. Hoping it'll run nicely where I live.

I don't want to buy gaming PCs anymore as I barely ever play, but the idea of a free service where I can use Google's servers as much and often as I want and then just have to buy the games individually (like on Steam) entices me a lot!

It's basically a free gaming computer for everyone by Google O.o

I'm not a fan :(

If streaming succeeds, it will likely result in another push away from game ownership.

The noticable input lag aside, admittedly streaming has a lot of benefits and unfortunately for me they're exactly the kind of things the average consumer will gobble up with joy.

If streaming games really becomes the go-to approach for consuming this medium, I feel it may spell very bad news for the guys that love gaming the most :(
I imagine major detrimental shifts in the way development works and the way the medium is consumed. The death of mods, private servers, game preservation, competitive play, downgrades in performance (60fps limit atm iirc).

Idk man... I just wanna go back to physical... Or at least DRM-free digital like Good Old Games that you can burn to a disk yourself.
