I'm debating whether to pick up the North American or European version right now. If you buy the game now, you get all the benefits a subscriber had before (--> full game access).
If anyone can compare the two versions, any help is greatly appreciated.

They also said they were going to add some new servers in NA.
Seems the ping difference is only ~30ms for folks living in Europe and Europe seems to be behind NA in terms of patches, so I guess I'll go with NA (as usual >.>).

I've had a lot of fun on Tera, i was going to buy it before i went away for the Summer, but never did. When i got back i forgot about it actually. So seeing this im happy.

I Jumped on now under their free trial, until it goes F2P in February.

Its actually a very fun game.

I'd suggest buying the boxed copy or digital copy if you're seriously going to play the game for more than a month.

Forums, they're selling MW alkahest and spellbinds. If you have no idea what this means it's basically the elixir that allows you to +10-12 and spellbinds are items that allows you to save stats when you reroll them. Example this is your weapon

Minion Damage
+3 Minion Damage
+6 Attack Speed
+9 Boss Damage

+10/11/12 for weapons are power anyhow. Gear on theo ther hand with plate/cloth can have either endurance/aggro for plate and endurance/heal. Pointless stats if you aren't a healer or a tank.

Just to confirm, it's not completely Pay 2 Win, there is still chances to get those items outside of the Cash Store.

It really depends on how they implement it in both ways. As is currently? Completely pay to win, because through instances you get like 3 MW to drop. Three. You need 14 for an attempt. That's 3 for the entire group/raid. Who knows if they'll bump it up.

Then you have crates giving them and guess what? Elite can get x2 instance boxes.

It depends on how you view pay to win, but to me you can literally pay to win. Top it off inflation will be brought upon insanely through this. You can grind 1-2k per hour purely chinese farming mobs aka 2-4 enchants per hour on T14. Now if an instance drops something in reasonable rates? I'm not even that mad. I am mad about queuing and getting presents(Assuming they'll drop like 5 per box at random) over just going with a group of 5. That's just bullshit.

You can play the game from point a to b. You can even play every instance with +9 gear as it isn't a big deal. You can PvP with +9 gear. +9 < +12 though and it's obvious. Someone can just straight up spend money to keep enchanting or grind for it. I use +9 gear because getting Masterwork and enchanting to +12 is Farking insane on RNG. Gamble and get +12? Grind for +12? Is it pay to win? Again my view, yes. KeyJ's? Seems like on the fence.

That is the only thing that is just wtf about it all considering 99% of the community said don't remove it while EME goes away and does it probably because EME is Bluehole's bitch. It also depends on how much of a success rate increase Tera will have and with the soft cap. Still pay to win though imo

I should also have been clear on what spellbinds actually is. Example you have a T14 item so you need 14 spellbinds PER stat you save.
+3 Minion
+6 Boss
+9 MP

Say you want to say boss? You can either use spellbinds or spend 5g(Which was removed in Korea's version) and reset every stat. The problem is spellbinds become useful when the item is masterworked. The only way to reset the item if it's masterworked is with a master enigmatic scroll or ~150g. So you can see why spellbinds become useful in the long run.

Give the game a try out and play to 60, but don't buy anything. If people vote with their money, which most likelyt hey will with paying rather than ignoring, then they'll put them back. Realistically not happening.

New twist:

Box sales will be discontinued when f2p goes live, which means now is the only option to get founder's status.

Unavailable on Amazon now, lol.
I find the Elite way more attractive anyway than the box. I'll never play more than two characters per server anyway, and if I decide to I'll just buy a slot (which is unlikely).
Created two characters, one on the RP server, the other on the new PvE server. Gonna start playing towards the end of february when my exams are over..

I also heard that Frogster is royally screwing EU players, so I'm glad I didn't go there.
If anyone cares, they're selling 1hour 50% exp boosters for 5 Euros, while NA is selling 24 hour 100% boosters for less. lol

Gameforge is screwing over their userbase with a $50 character slot. Poor europe

The reason why I said buy it for $10 wasn't because of 8 slots. You had more bank slots, able to register more on broker, a free 280 speed horse on your account to use at level 1, a month of Elite if registered before f2p(Which is bullshit imo. It says 30 days and it should give 30 days), able to put more shit on broker, and so on.

They took it out, because it's f2p. They don't want people easily to buy founders I guess afterall +6 character slots and +3 bank slots = $45

Yep, that was pretty weird. Anyways I got the EU version. FPS is not good, dunno how long I'll keep playing it. Lower resolution also fucks up the text except chat.

EU sucks. Go NA. I'm from Europe too. Gameforge is a money-grabbing company that doesn't care about its customers, only profit.
