HUD is probably gonna change before the release. I read somewhere that the first DLC includes my favorite maps from BF 2: Dalian Plant and Daqing Oilfields, if this is true then It's a dream come true. Gonna pre-order asap

I enjoyed the graphics, and i am very curious to see if this double scope system will transfer into MP.

The new targeting and suppression system demonstrated in the video i liked quite a bit, and with the secondary shotty and nube tube. It's interesting.

I want to see the MP reveal, that is what im more interested in.

I can't wait for IGN to do their Trailer Rewind.

Look at all that color! Must be depressing as an artist to make this beautiful thing then somebody higher up decides to shit all over it with a filter.

I don't care if it's supposed to set the tone of the game. You do that through music and the actual art. Not by being lazy and slap on a color filter.

Exclusive Beta Access can be obtained in the following ways:

Pre-order the Origin Digital Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 4 (PC only) through the Origin store.
Own Battlefield 3 Premium Membership.

Alternatively, if you are a registered owner of a Digital Deluxe or Limited Edition copy of Medal of Honor Warfighter this will also provide access when it is available.

Yeah, tbh the only major changes i hope for is 64 player console and no random bullet spread. I wished they improved the graphics, but oh well i doubt that would happen till frosbite 3.

Yeah i really hate the tint in bf3, especially the blue in Metro -__-

If this doesnt have 64 player for console, i'll be very mad, depressed, and more mad :soosad:. Unless they have a lot of ultra small (tight) maps like Metro, but that still means no vehicles =(

BF 4 uses Frostbite 3
" It only supports DirectX 11 on PCs. It also features in-game destruction with Destruction 4.0 which upgraded from Destruction 3.0, and it features an entirely new tessellation technology"

I didn't like BF3 much, mostly because suppression was retarded.
So basically you just spray a few rounds near the guy then scope in since his accuracy goes to shit instantly.

If they fix reduce it a bit or remove it I'll happily go buy an nVidia Titan tomorrow.

I hear that BF4 will be available on both current and next gen consoles, with the idea that next gen Xbox and PlayStation will support 64player but current gen will support only the same as BF3 currently.

There has been a leak of map names and one of them is a Chinese ad subway station.

I really hope PS4 has 64-player, most of the maps aren't even worth playing rush/conquest cause you barely see anyone and no one bothers to join them anyways :soosad:.

yeah I meant like a totally rehashed new engine, like they did with Frostbite 1 --> Frostbite 2. Frostbite 3 is basically like 2.5 cause they are basically making it smoother but thats it.
Which is good too cause i remember they had shit load of bugs in BF3 cause of Frostbite 2, it would be better to re-use for BF4 than make a whole new engine and having to un-bug the game again.

I found out how to check for the BF4 Beta for Premium Members

Quote:
Battlefield 3 Premium Members

If you are a Battlefield 3 Premium Member on the PC, a 'Battlefield 4 beta' product icon will be attached to the product entry for Battlefield 3. To confirm this please do the following:

In your Origin client, open your 'My Games' tab
>Right click the product icon for Battlefield 3
>Select 'Show Game Details'
>Scroll down to the 'Expansions' section
>The Battlefield 4 Beta icon will be visible (see image below)
Image

And yes, i can confirm as a BF3 Premium member i have access to BF4 Beta

I hope there is suppression too, maybe a little reduced.
Also, better knifing please ._.

If they announce that next gen console and PC both have the same # of player (64+), ill pre-order it right away *_*
Will be kind of annoying if they make PS4 64 player buut then make PC 128+, cause then we go back to the same problem with large ass maps and no people -__-

The only thing about suppression that annoys me is the fact being that it makes your gun's accuracy go to 0.
idgaf if it blurs my screen, it's not going to mess with me much.

I mostly played sniper and engineer, since suppression bugged the hell out of me. It was so strange playing with an odd feature like it after dumping thousands of hours into the other Battlefields.

At least I'm still ranked in the top 0% for HS after not playing for 14 months. :P

what are the chances of the console version having splitscreen? BF3 couldnt have it obviously cause of PS3/360 being too shitty, but could next gen handle both 64 player and split screen? :3

With EA rated as the worst company last year and still crappy polls this year, let's hope they make some real strides with BF4.

Doubtful. The 17 minute preview was nice, but it doesn't seem like DICE learned from their mistakes.

Yes and no. The video is captured from directly inside the engine. This is as good as the game could possibly look given you have a monster of a pc.
