Here's the new opening cinematic to SC2's upcoming expansion.
Anyone else gonna buy? I always go for a physical copy, the boxes of these games are always amazing :D

My interest in SC2 had been dwindling until recently, pretty much since most of my favorite streamers quit one by one... But lately, maybe due to Heroes of the Storm, my attention has been drawn towards the game again. Then bam this trailer appears and suddenly I'm hyped D:

That cinematic is so goooood! especially the zealot charge right at the end. The movement is so insanely well animated. It's always amazing to get such a detailed view of the units. Their CG versions look so different from the in-game models. You just get a much better feel for the world through them. Real life Nexus is f*ckin huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

With that said, Blizzard appears to be putting a ton of effort into this expansion. Looking at patch notes and stuff on reddit, they're really trying to change up the game and experimenting with much more drastic stuff than they ever dared for Heart of the Swarm.

just for fun here's the previous intro's too :D
Spoiler!

Well... never played StarCraft, so no.

In fact, StarCraft is probably one of the more popular games that I know the least about. Haven't even seen anyone play it. I'm sure it's great, though! :)

I remember when I was a kid, internet cafe's were full of it D:
It was either CS1.6 or SC:BW. Well... the game used to scare me so I didn't play it when I was a kid.

SC1 actually has a pretty great story. Good mix of politics and drama.
SC2 took a bit more of a hollywood approach for better or for worse. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of it, but hey it's still another RTS. SC2 Campaigns are a bit gimmicky though. They're highly varried and fast-paced, but personally I get more enjoyment out of the classical 'build up your empire and steamroll' approach.

but it's still a darn good game and I've spent many hours trying to get decent at the multiplayer :P

Aaaand we're f2p :D
I know I already said it in the other thread, but I'll put it here for clarity's sake as well.

- All multiplayer modes going free to play on November 14th!
- Wings of Liberty campaign becomes completely free
- Heart of the Swarm campaign is free IF you already own Wings of Liberty (Legacy of the Void campaign will have a price drop)
- Access to ALL competitive ladders for free
- Access to all co-op commanders up to level 5 <<< PvE co-op missions with overpowered campaign units for stupid fun
- Raynor, Kerrigan and Artanis commanders are totally free and without limitations
- New Mira Han commander
- New Matt Horner commander

Despite a few changes that I really dislike from WoL I'm so stoked the game has gone free2lpay. I quit around the time HotS was announced so haven't played in like 5-6 years.

Trying to get back in shape beating the AI on elite difficulty after which it go time smashing plebs in 1v1.

WCS finally out of group stages. How I wish they would have synced the free to play release with a big tournament like this. Would have gathered far more players and viewers IMO.
