Post subject:  Account activation / Email settings

There is now a list of members who have changed their forum email settings to a non-existent address, in attempt to make their SRO account more secure.

I fully understand the concern for these matters. I encourage you not to use the same email address here on the forum as you did for your SRO account.

But I must remind you that you need a VALID email to post on the board.

Upon changing your email settings on Silkroad Forums, it will deactivate your account and re-send the account confirmation email to the new address.

If your stuck in this situation, I will manually CONFIRM your account activation. But I will NOT change your email address or password for you, due to security reasons.

After this is viewed a bit, I will move it to site discussion.

Seeing how this is 1.5 years old, I am going to unsticky it, you can still search for it if your have problems, or ask for help in a new thread.
