I have a legitimate, non-racist question for you: Is there a cultural background to the naming of African American children, or is it just whatever sounds good?

Answer: You don't see many people naming their children based off of their cultural. Most African-Americans, and African-descendants don't know much on their cultural background, based mainly from an event that hopefully doesn't need to be said. Makes it pretty difficult to account back as far as other people possibly could.

lol, well i wasnt serious about the "taquasha" one, but tyrese i like. and no theres no cultural background to naming kids lol. but if i did have a girl i would probably name her "alante(ah~lawn~tay

I just keep seeing all these 'T' names like Tyrone, and Taqasha, and 'Sh' names like Shaquira and Sheniqua, and think they're the funniest names ever.
