Well, we've all been there. Down in the dumps, poor as hell with only a few thousand to your name. We've all.... Been poor :oops:

However, we can all pull ourselves out of this slump of suckage and bring ourselves wealth. How, you ask? Good question, one that I hope to answer!

If anyone in Troy knows me, they'll know my name is a synonym for poor ass noob.... Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

Newbie Mistakes for Making Money

These are the things you don't want to do. You'll end up worse than where you started.

- Do NOT do Multistars, unless you have leet people in your union, to make money. In fact, I disapprove of overall trading unless you've been having low drops, and are over the level of 52(Thieves will reeeally have to work hard to pop you)

- Do NOT Thieve. Thieving gets you low profit, unless you rob a huge trade. Don't do it.

- Don't grind whites. Just don't do it. You lose too much gold on pots, if you, by chance don't get a drop.

- Don't scam. Don't ask why, or you shouldn't be on this forum.

- Don't buy gold. I extremely dislike the buying and selling of other people's efforts.

- Don't beg. Waste of time. People hate you. You won't get gold. Waste. Of. Time
These are the main mistakes people make, which lead them to poorness.

Things I Would Recommend for Making Gold

- Grind greens. At my level(60) I can pick up more gold in one grind trip than pots cost me(around 240k). And if you get an item drop, you get even more profit. Green is the color of money, so grind them!!!

- Take out a small loan, enough to get pots for 3-4 grind runs. Make sure you repay it, though.

- Buy low, sell high. This is most easily accomplished with elixers, since they usually have a 'standard' price. Buy them cheaply, and sell them at the average price. FYI: Prot Elix: 50-60k, Weap Elix: 250k, Acc Elix: 35k.
If you know the market well, you can do it with equips, and a LOT more profit can be gained that way.

- Disjoint things for elements, and sell them. The average market price ATM is about 1k per. Sell them lower than that, and you should be able to get a decent amount of customers.

- Action gets you out of poverty, not words. Do not sit there and feel sorry that you're poor. Go out, and get some gold, and in an honorable fashion. Grind greens, resell items, don't scam, disjoint, anything that you think can get you profit as long as its nothing dishonorable.

I hope this guide helps you fellow players down in your dumps almost ready to beg at another's feet to get back up and become a regular member of sroSociety, one that won't grovel, and one that can afford to buy gear without loans.

Yeeeah... Once you're past 30, a weapon drop gives more than a trade run. At my level, a weapon drop gives 3x as much. Thieving gets you so little gold, and jobbing is a waste of time that could be spent getting gold, or getting levels, it should be only used for recreation, never economic benefits, unless you're unsure of your drop rates.

Maybe the reason why Lvl30+ drops are worth so much is because there ar enot enough L30+ players? Soon there will be..

Like evolution, the server will become mor eand mor epopulated with high level characters all selling their drops...

Then survival will onlybe given to those who are adventurous! nimble! ambitious! risk takers! True warriors able to challenge and defeat the overlords, the Gods of their Realm! And from their seed, will be born Masters of the Universe!!!

buahaaahhaaaahhhaaa!

Theres MUCH more people in Hotan/Donwhang in Troy. Level 30+ takes under a month if you grind at least 3 hours a day without gold ticket.

want to make money Do the quest!!! Leveling is everything I TELL YA everthing muahahhahahahhh.... aaa muahhahahahah....Besides when u go to high lvl u get good drops i usaully get 4 to 6 lvl 23 to 26 drops myself at lvl 27, that too in an hour or half.
all above 11k sell rest disjoint.. lot of 100 elements = money good ummm..
But as such the advice of GRINDING green once is really best and common sense..Things dont hit you that good so u kill faster = less pots = less gold waste.
Everyone knows but my suggest DO THE QUEST NO MATTER WHAT!! you wont level that faster if u dont unless u grinding on ornage or red mobs which incase is gonna make u go poor.
One tip is SAVE TILL U HAVE 2 mill.....Get an SOS use only THE best will save time and gold trust me...Ok whos laughing when i said 2mill...I cant help it i kept on spending on good but non sos weapons they arent same thing even a +5 with decent critical isnt that good compared to low crit sos...i dont care if someone feels different i used it and its not good enough.

grinding green is great advice/
and another piece of advice, buy a thief suit, couple of camels, and couple of scrolls
dont actively thief, but if while grinding, you see loot on the floor, why not take it? ONLY TAKE LOOT if theres MORE THAN 4 or 5 STACKS. 4 stacks is aobut 15k. anything less, its not worth the time.

I wouldn't do 15k unless you're in your 20s. For me, a good load at 42+ would be at least 60k.

This is the kind of attitude that gets you hated by all, put on a KOS list and what makes somebody reserve an instant return scroll with your name on it.

But the problem is...we don't know market prices. Most put price check and went unreplied. Furthermore prices ranges from server to server.

I am considered poor...knowing the fact i am grinding on whites (...ya believe the threadstarter, it kills your pots...i can only make a profit of 5k per trip. The giants especially...you will hate it when there is a giant attacking you and there are 2 more mobs kicking your ass)

Then...no drops of SOS or SOM whatever....guess trading 1* is a way to go to get some money

you can learn the prices in youre server by just checking them stalls.

I do believe that money making is something personal for everybody. My brother has a couple of million at the same lvl why i usually just have enough money to get whatever i need and get out there again. Still we both have fun playing the game.

Owh and i suck at alchemy i think cause every time i try to +4 a weapon it fails..soo that is my biggest I LIEK TO GIVE MONEY OUT JUST TO WASTE IT! thing i figure. :P

1* is not an option. Do it only if you are bored or something. Get in a good guild (with good union) because doing union trade runs with 5 star of load is 5 times better than doing 1 star :-). Another thing of the guild/union is that you can ask people for price check and most of the time you get fast answers. I'm proud of being DirtyDeeds Guild member and ANBU union member because there are lots of nice people ready to help :-) As shiz said do greens, it helps a lot.

yes Shiz I agree with you. As a nuker, I make a ton more money grinding on stuff that I can 1-hit and getting drops than going on a 1-star, even if 90% were successful, which never happens to me anymore :( Grinding and selling elixers was how I made my money lol. Glad someone (finally) has the same opinion.

These colors refer to the level difference of the monster you're fighting. If you click on them, their is going to be a colored circle to the left of their name at the top of your screen. The scale goes...

Blue ---> Green --> White --> Orange --> Red

Blue is easiest, and Red is hardest. White is about the same level as you are, maybe 1 lower or 1 higher tops. Hope this Helps

Blue=7+ levels below you.
Green=4-6 levels below.
White=0-3 levels below.
Orange=1-5 levels above.
Red=6+ levels above.

Blue gives so little xp its not worth grinding, but greens are pretty nice.

UHM.

haha wtf?

Am I the greatest thief of all time or something?? :? :?

And am I also the greatest merchant ever or something?? :?

I can, fairly easily, pull off 4 star trades at lvl 30. They make me around 190k profit. :)

I can, also at lvl 30, pull off mad thiefing runs. Where I only get about 20k-60k in profit. (I also pop 1 stars every now and again if business is running slow.) :oops:

Just today. I pulled off a 4 star trade run, me and my guild friend+real life friend. Of course, it costs alot of money to start it, and we also had a hunter escort us from jangan to dw. We also are smart. Use harmony therapy. Wait until it's about to run out, make a break for it as long as possible, without spamming trans pots, and use harmony again. Once you get well into dw territory make a break for it. We had like 40 or 50 npc thieves chasing us, we ended up killing like five, 1*traders, (on accident), and we got there, to dw, safely. :D :D :D

So whatever. I don't know if im just really good at this or not. Oh, also, on Olympus server, you have to stay up late to do this kind of trading. Because americans like thieving, so wait till they're in bed. I live in america, so yeah, I stay up all day and night sometimes playing away. :D :banghead: :wink: :D

Also, I made it to level 2 thief in about 1-2 days. if that. And I ALWAYS hear in-game people complaining about how hard thieving is. Idk. Maybe im lucky. Whatever though.

But even I will admit, that grinding is the best way to get gold. Even grinding whites. grinding greens sucks, but it makes alot of gold. So. It's tough for some "non-grinders" out there to hear. But, go grind. If you don't like grinding why'd you start playing SRO, or, any mmorpg for that matter??

At lvl 30 I could get about 60-70k profit a run using a horse. (I say profit because though I make 80k per run, I have to rebuy pots and shit.)

And since I go on trade-runs with 1-2 other lvl 3x's popping, and we use horses, popping is an impossibility. Npc thieve's are more or less used for our entertainment. We sit in a harmony whiles they chase down a lvl 12 and kill them in cold blood. Then we res him, kill the thief, and are on our way. :wink:

Four trade runs=260k or so.
Takes about 1hour30mins.
And though 260k is chump change, it's alot of gold to me. and I say alot. Because I am always so dam poor. I also find that sp farming is good for making money...lawl. As a nuker I kill white mobs in one-two hits, even as a lvl 15 nuker. :P So I grind whitey's to get meh gold. I only make about 5k profit per grind, but it adds up. (Pots are...meh...) 8)

So if you have the ability to kill cracka mobs, as I call them, very quickly. then do that instead of greens. Greens give no xp whatsoever, and only about 80sxp per kill. If that. :banghead:

But I still like this guide.

You're a thief and still got robbed? Mobbed by NPC thieves?
