Hi, my nick is Synx and I'm from Spain. I'm just a guy who like games, but not on the normal way, playing games is just half of the fun, I'm a creative person and I want everyone to enjoy new stuff on the games they like, so basically I would say that I love improving my favourite games. I've started playing SRO like anyone else would, a friend told me about the game and I started playing with him. That was back in 2007, lots of things changed, and it's a shame that Joymax couldn't keep the rhythm their players were asking for. That's why basically Myth was born.
About Myth

Myth was an approach of how I would liked SRO to be. I don't like over-modified servers, neither default servers, Myth was my own vision of the game. It was my very first experience as a server administrator, server developer and user supporter. I learnt a lot from it, I can't even enumerate how this experience changed my life, and it was thanks to the players who shared the same feeling about SRO with me. Myth is now history, the amount of mistakes I made and my lack of experience back then made the project fail, mostly also due to the attacks it was getting. But I didn't want to end like this, for this reason, I've been working on the new version of Myth, Myth Reborn.
About Myth Reborn
Myth Reborn is the future of Myth, everything I've learned from the old Myth, the mistakes I made and the friends I gained, I applied everything there. You will find many unique things on it. It has the same base features as the old Myth (achievements, hero rank, myth town, cap 125, etc.) plus some new features (auto-notices, auto-equip system, triggered instances, new uniques, new avatars, etc.). It will be in constant development, I've rushed the release a lot since the old players were asking a lot for it, so I will be developing updates on-the go. There are many future plans for Myth Reborn, which include, 2 new classes (Darkness and Talwar for China and Europe respectively), improved job system (better rewards, more exciting system), Survival maps, deep-final storyline with some interesting quests, and of course, always up to date with the official servers (this means, we will get cap 130 as soon as Joymax implements it). We are not an static server, always new content will be brought.

IMPORTANT NOTES! Server is not open yet, it will open tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, no specific schedule yet This is a rushed release, there are some systems temporary disabled or untouched, but they will be reworked (item dismantling is disabled, job system is default, both will be improved in future updates)

For the first time in a while I'll play again. I'm not a fan of 120 cap but Synx is a good guy and has proven himself with his work in the past. The community in OBT is pretty good compared to most servers. I'll probably roll a s/s since I've been playing Warrior since ESRO1. *yawn*
On another note Synx's files are quite a bit different from all of the other VSRO files, which means that none of the bots work.

EDIT: found the reason why "The server will be offline tonight. We are working on the final database and fixing bugs that the people reported on the forums."

Macs Warlock is gimped because Fire Shield is acting as if it's Holy Spell, a common problem among these servers. It's damn hard to land statuses against fire. Go Warrior or S/S. Synx said it was hard to have the skill trees like SRO-R, 3 masteries for now, SRO-R maybe down the road. I'll ask on the forums and see what they have to say.
I downloaded at 4shared @ 2.5mbs.
Everything will be wiped [OB] and the server will be opened Friday/Saturday I believe.

It's a VSRO server with SRO-R skills, such as the new force buffs and skills, most are working but some are a little bugged like Heavenly Vigor [you get stuck for 2-3 seconds after using it] all of the other servers have the same problem.
I was just talking to Synx, he said that he cannot make the masteries like SRO-R with his files. 3 trees is our limit, which is plenty enough since Chinese are really strong at 120. Currently they are using the new job system, which has increased rates. As long as I can trade and make some gold I'm fine with either job system.

Been testing nuker int s/s builds since registering here. And it's safe to say, the build i chose is fuckin epic. You can 1 skill hit a wiz in +7 robes lol, with a crit. The lvl 120 kd+stab is deadly, in 2 hits can potentially deal 40-70k dmg, from memory its like 20-40k crit on kd, and 40+ crits on the first stab and 15-30k on the second assuming all crit. The build? Meh....too public to tell haha Jk.
bich fire/light = fail, you would need 2 pimped sets for this, armor+garms. Still a fun build, but in comparison to what i will go it's fail anyway. bich fire/cold = fail, just useless. Max snow shield is actually not important, and even max phy def is not essential if you know how to play around it. You will still be wiped vs warriors ater ss, so you will want extra dmg during ss, so this imo fails compared to the build i will choose. fire/light/cold = fail for pvp anyway, pve it's a beast. Bich cold/light is still nice imo, but ultimately will be less suited to pvp than my build as without fire shield you will be adding weak spots to your build which you dont need with such little hp.

I didn't max the blues on my set, nor I +ed my accs, takes so much time >.>, most my PvP was a 1/2hit fight, everyone pimped his weapon alot more than his set, also people with protector just enjoying trolling everyone, people zerking in pvp, was pretty messy, won't judge the wiz in beta I guess.

Agreed, we've done quite a bit of testing with our sword builds. I think I found the one I'm going to go with after doing some more testing this morning. Synx also said that we will be able to use 120 + 110 stab, he said it was due to lag and he has another server that we will be using for PvP.
Botting is allowed, but he's done quite a good job preventing them so far, not a single bot works.

I believe I will be rolling a full str force bow due to the sro-r skills. That or a wiz cleric depending on which build would be more useful in the guild. (job temple ba). I had a LOT of fun spamming healing orbit and berk offering in BA on infinity road xD

^yes the new job system is horrible, but since its apparently VSRO files hopefully theres a way to put the old one back in, or maybe we can all test out the new one and give it a chance
I guess since its only 3 masteries for chinese (=(), I'll be rolling a glaive, either force or cold..I was hoping it was SRO-R masteries so I could be hybrid nuker but oh welllll
BTW do people on this server QQ about using walls in pvp ~,o?
EDIT: wow..I finally downloaded the client to try out OB, and yesterday the server was offline and now OB ends? -_-. back to salvation for the moment ~,~

Since people keep asking whether or not I'm joining Myth, I figured I'd respond here.
The answer is no, I'm not joining Myth. Why? Well, a few reasons.
1. I personally loathe any servers that have the "normal" pvp system in which 2h warriors and rogues faceroll everyone, it's dumb.
2. They do have some cool skills/features. But most of them aren't all the incredible, and I'm not the type to join a server just so I can fly, or hover, above the ground on an attack pet. Or because of their "new town!" which, as I mentioned before, was incredibly useless. Cool, but useless.
3. I hate the old job system. I job for pvp. Not for more questing/grinding.
Those are some of the main reasons. Another reason being that quite a few of the people joining Myth and server hoppers, aka Avell, Seph, etc. If I was going to go somewhere, I'd want to know that the people I play with weren't going to switch servers the next time one comes out. Which, from past history, happens quite a bit here on SRF and I'm tired of it.

P.S. Don't advertise/talk about Myth in Globals, in all chat, or on the forum. We GM's don't advertise on other people's private servers, and we expect the same respect in return.

He makes a good point... or 3. I think putting all your eggs in one basket "lol" is risky, server hopping is risky, and i wont be so stupid to think that myth online will be the end of all pservers with its awesomeness "it is potentially one of the best". I dont even know if this server will exist in 2 months, i dont know anything but the fact it was pretty awesome ingame. Oh, myth island was ultimately useless haha, i hoep synx uses that place better in the final game.
With that said, i wont quit salvation as I KNOW it will be here in 2 months, i know it will eventually get better with its content variety and pvp balance, sure it takes a while...but lets face it you guys are forgetting that it isnt massively popular in terms of new players due to the fact you cant bot, nobody plays legit anymore apart from those already in there! Also, people can troll infensus union about massively out numbering thieves, but as a union they have survived and continued to maintain activity for 8 months now. One more opposing union which would have done the same and nothing would be a prob. The Relentless core quitting, was probably the day the true competition died on the server, as this union was probably on par with what infensus is now. Sucks everybody kinda had other stuff going on at the time, it was a great union.
However, it isnt a crime to try out myth, i will come along and see what its like. But damn, I'd be stupid to sell/quit on salvation!

Dont hate me for being bored fast on servers that are just dead. Did i quit esro after 2/3 weeks? nope stayed for 3 months cuz it was active, left most servers cuz of corruption. Didnt go active on salvation because there isnt much todo you guys are all in bad timezones for me, and i wont join infensus so yea. :<
