Int Hybrid Types

UPDATED 11/5/06
-added 2 new builds
-added poll
-added max alchemy explanation

Hello. This is my first guide, so hopefully I don't mess up. I have done some research using a well known sp/stat calculator which you can find here http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Build_Applet/
I have found out stats, balances WITHOUT GEAR, life, and mp, and max balances (WITH PERFECT ALCHEMY GEAR) of many int hybrid builds. I figure I should share it with everyone so they don't have to figure it all out ^^.

I think it is general knowledge that Int Hybrids are very good builds if played right, have good gear, and are farmed well. I'm just gonna write down some builds for everyone, and maybe you will find one you like. The ratios given are not ratios of total stat points after distribution, but of only the points that you distribute (a 1 str :2 int build means each level put 1 str and 2 int).

For those who do not know, perfect alchemy means that you have maximum hp/mp and maximum str/int added onto your gear. Maximum alchemy for hp/mp is 1050. Maximum str/int for spear/glaive users is 55 at our current Lvl 70 cap, and maximum str/int for sword/blade+shield users is 60 with our current Lvl 70 cap. Sorry for the miscommunication.

I will post Hybrid Str types as soon as I can gather a good number of people that support them, I wouldn't want to make people think they are on equal level as Int Hybrids if they aren't proven to be yet.

Please feel free to let me know if I leave anything out, and request builds to be posted if you think it would be beneficial.

All info is based on a character that is level 70.

You have 207 stat points to distribute by Lvl 70 w/ base 3489 Hp/Mp

Ratio- 1 Str : 2 Int
158 Str/227 Int
Base 6195 Hp/8900 Mp
Base 67% Phys/73% Mag
Max 79% Phys/91% Mag with SPEAR
Max 80% Phys/93% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

Ratio- 1 Str : 3 Int
140 Str/245 Int
Base 5489 Hp/9606 Mp
Base 63% Phys/79% Mag
Max 75% Phys/97% Mag with SPEAR
Max 76% Phys/99% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

Ratio- 1 Str : 4 Int
130 Str/255 Int
Base 5097 Hp/9998 Mp
Base 61% Phys/82% Mag
Max 73% Phys/100% Mag with SPEAR
Max 74% Phys/102% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

Ratio- 1 Str : 5 Int
123 Str/262 Int
Base 4822 Hp/10273 Mp
Base 59% Phys/85% Mag
Max 71% Phys/102% Mag with SPEAR
Max 72% Phys/104% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

Ratio- 2 Str : 3 Int
169 Str/216 Int ***
Base 6626 Hp/8469 Mp
Base 69% Phys/70% Mag
Max 81% Phys/87% Mag with SPEAR
Max 82% Phys/89% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

***If you would rather have 70% Physical Balance and 69% Magical Balance, put 170 Str and 215 Int instead of 169/216.

90% Magical Balance Naked
107 Str/278 Int
Base 4195 Hp/10900 Mp
Base 56% Phys/90% Mag
Max 68% Phys/108% Mag with SPEAR
Max 69% Phys/109% Mag with SWORD+SHIELD

If you want to find out your MAXIMUM possible Hp/Mp AT LVL 70 WITH PERFECT ALCHEMY simply do this.
Add 1050 to hp/mp and which you would get from hp/mp tablets.
Add 1078 to HP IF and ONLY IF you will get Max Heuksal Passive.
Add 1078 to MP If and ONLY IF you will get Max Force Passive.
Add 2156 to hp/mp if you use a SPEAR/GLAIVE.
Add 2352 to hp/mp if you use a SWORD/BLADE+SHIELD.

Hope you found it useful.

What are you classifying as 'prefect alchemy gear?' Just to be clear on how you arrive at the final numbers. Once I find out the max possible bonus from all gear, I can calculate a perfect ratio.

A slight hybrid is not a bad thing one thing this guide did not cover was if you add only 15 points a str to a Nuker your are still close enough to pure to do high damage

this is what the numbers would look like with no Alchemy

i was aiming for 90% magical balance with heuksal as my weapon mastery, but by lvl 30, the low hp was getting to me so i decided to become a 1:2 int archer instead. this thread helped a lot in making that decision. so i gave up nuking for weapon skills, and i have fire and force as my two other skill trees. light, i only have as a sub-mastery for the piercing force and grasswalk buffs, and i have zero cold.

so far i'm pretty much comfortable with the 1:2 int build as i mainly only do pve. i have yet to try doing jobs... but i might decide to do so when i'm already using complete 6th deg equipments. as for pvp... i'm aiming for a support type character so i don't expect to own in pvp. guild wars, i may be of use. that is, if i ever do decide to join a guild. lol.

i am 2:1, which really means 3:2 int to str when taking into account the 1:1 you automatically get upon each lvl. i was 1:1 for 30 lvls then 2:1 nearly every lvl thereafter.

SG...will u recommend armor for int hybrid?

BTW,magic balance 85% is enough to bring heavy damage?(not to compare to full int)

have u fought full str char 1 on 1?hows the result since i really interested on ur build except ill try with sword shield and try to get 80/90 for physical and magic...

started off keeping magic balance at 83% naked at start now going full int

its really hard to get it up now to 90% im at 86% naked after 4 lvls or so but with my items im at 95% with a good spear so ive got a good build for myself, started with some health bonuses to survive longer and with the spear bonuses can take a giant and a few others but get klled by 5 mobs once

damm taoists

im lvl 28 atm

I'm confused about something how do you add 2352 to sword/blade+shield when having heuksal gives you that extra hp. shouldn't it be 3206 total with hp/mp tablets and max heuksal/force. I must be missing something or something is not computing right hehehe.

Currently i'm swearing by the current setup.

1 Str:2 Int. (Any low health problems will be caught by Alchemy)

I find this to be the reasonably best build. (Atleast for me then)

:)

I'm playing a little with a hybrid on the side, probably 1:3, maybe 1:2. I'll be going pure INT to lvl 30 or so (because pure INTs kill so damn fast = fast leveling), then I'll start adding STR after that.

I'm going Spear/Sword/Lighting/Fire. Spear for PvE and sword/shield for PvP. I'm forsaking the extra defense from Cold to go for two weapons instead. Of course the Heuksal passive will help with my HP.

Isn't investing in two weapons a waste? Couln't you just stick to one and get some defence in your current masteries with the extra SP, like Fire Wall?
I was kind of doing the same, going for Force just for the passive and toke it out for more punch and defense on the others. :D

theres many dual wielders in babel just that there is too much lag for most fights to look as smooth as in that video and without ice switching to spear against pure str glaiver is suicidal, ive even been having trouble the last few days executing a triple stab. on a good day with no lag i can spam my skills as good as that.
