there really is no way to fix this issue short of redoing the character levels in the game.how many lvl 20 characters would it take 2 kill a lvl80?so in order for a lvl 20 to do a multi* there would have 2 be like 30 of them just to get past 1 lvl80 thief. it should be 4 lvl20's equal 1 lvl80 player. as long as the lvl's are set up the way they are there will be no true fix to the problem.when u design a game with no lvl restrictions on how they interact u need 2 keep the lvls close enough 2 make it competitive. if i was JM the first thing i would do was to revamp there character lvl's.bring them all closer together.something on the order of 2 lvl10 can equal a lvl20, or 4 lvl10 can equal a lvl40.any other attemp at a fix will ultimately fail. this way u wouldn't need a 1* protection system in place. I think everyone would try multi*'s with this system. I'm currently lvl 49 and would welcome a change like this.don't know what everyone else thinks about this but it's the only true solution I see.

now, as well all know a theif can only attack a 2* trader or above...its the way the game works. but with the new job update coming we will be stuck with our jobs for 10 weeks (if the rumor is to belived).
now as a theif my job is to kill traders, take their items and return them to the theif town for money, but with almost 90% of all traders doing 1* trades how can i do my SRO job? I mean seeing how nearly every trader is doing a 1* job how can i attack them? well to some the answer is 1* pop to let my NPC theif kill a trader. But to some this isnt far how is it, but doing a 1* trade isnt far either. i mean if your a trader there should be some risk involved, likewise for a theif if everyone does 1* trade all the time what can you do????
i for one say make 1* popping impossible and how you ask, well thats the easy one. Get rid of the 1* trade..i mean hunter = hard job, theif = hard job, yet trader = easy have you have a basic "sandbox" option that gives no real challange. But without it then it evens things up a bit more...i mean hunter and theif can still attack each other, but why the hell should a trader get away....get rid of 1* option, make the trader job a real trader job..hard, and make the theif job a real theif job...being able to kill and take for any trader. Or we can wait till the job update is complete a nd see where that takes us? We all know jobs are fuxed at the moment.  satman83 wrote: well i dont want there to be 1* trades.... Change the star system to a level restriction system
Thieves can't attack hunters/traders 5-10 levels higher/lower than them

lol..
just put up some 8th deg. glaviers / bladers (thiefs) with a lot of HP at each bridge towards jg, and no traders will come by..
if the 1* is removed, no trader will have any chance at completing his job unless he is 60+ and using an ox.. (or has 3+ LV 80 hunters with him).
i agree with the lvl restriction system instead..

well just do that then.....AND for all those saying that hunters are the
worst off, thats why there are more hunters then theives? What people
dont realise is that when you become a theif its hard because its basicly

I'm sticking with the idea of making level gap restrictions on each star rating. It was mentioned by someone above, and I commented on it too. A 1 star trader should not have any sort of untouchable status. However, make it so you have to be no more than 3 levels higher than the 1 star trader to attack. 5 levels for 2 star, 10 levels for 3... that sort of thing.
If you keep the untouchable protection on 1 star, then there's not much reason for people to do multi (I know SOME do anyway). Remove that complete protection, and more traders will go out and do higher stars. More traders and hunters will work together to do larger trade runs. Also, thieves will start to work in groups more to bring these large trades down.
I think if they have a system like that, it will help reduce the number of thieves that just sit at the ferries or jangan crossroads waiting for a trader to pop.

also, when merchants travel with little amount of stuff they can pass most theives cause theives dont hit small merchants, theives want huge pay offs and thats y i think the start system makes sense

At any given time, i would say there are more thieves than hunters BUT either way it dosnt matter. If someone is hunter and sees someone they dont like and is also hunter, im sure one of them will change to thief just to kill the other person. If and when we get to the point where we have to choose a job, im sure the thieves will outnumber the hunters.
