me, i like camel turkish silver. (lol turks have good tobacco) they are so smooth, if you smoke, i suggest you try them.

Honestly, I find smoking something to be ashamed of.
Maybe it's just me, But when I see a smoker I think of a person with no will power. Because you know it's bad for your health, But you can't quit.
Never smoked and never will.

They have a picture of a moose on the pack
Im not a light smoker, not a heavy smoker either. Usually about a half a pack a day give or take a few. Its not that i dont have the willpower to quit either, its just that i dont want to, lol. I dont drink, so smoking is my drinking.

I wasn't supporting it. Just directed to the pro-smokers ... yes, passive smoking is bad as well ... but smoking will be forbidden soon in public places here as well ... so just hope for it to become better
But mhh ... a cigar once in a while is fine imo ... puffing > inhalating.

Yes smoking is bad for you, but so is excessive sunbathing.
I don't like judgemental people.

How reliable is "bullshit" as a source?
If I've time tomorrow I'll try to find some decent info on pubmed/web of science.

Smoking it yourself, you have the filter. And what about the person inhaling the smoke next to you?

they are inhaling the smoke that you have already filtered with your lungs.

You do realise there's smoke production while you're not actually smoking.
Besides the effect is only noticeable if you're spending a lot of time in a confined smoky space like a pub.
And the fact you can see smoke, means you're emitting particles.

Bad assumption.
I smoked for a couple years.
I put em down without problems.
People do it by choice too.

Some people quit easier than other. My dad and brother dropped it. My uncle can't quit.
God knows he's smelly like an ashtray when I talk to him. His teeth are all yellow like covered with tar. Can't imagine what his lungs look like. And he's a twig, weigh about 90 pounds at 5"5'.

When Im going out to a cafe or concert with friends I buy Malboro cigarettes every now and then.
But in general I smoke Javaanse Jongens 3/4
Roll my own ciggies
I smoke by choice, it helps me relax and I like it.
Somewhat like people having overweight because of eating pizza's and hamburgers every day and they die of heart attacks etcetera.
That ofcourse doesnt involve 'second hand smoking'.
As for me I only smoke in my own room and in cafes, but smoking will be forbidden in cafes here around 2011.
I might quit if I feel like it by the end of the summer, because I dont want to smoke on my whole life. For the time doing it its nice and stress relieving.
On a side note~
What I just dont get is that some people think second hand smoking is a bigger problem than ruining our -in this solar system- unique planet (Think of possible global warming).
Second hand smoking might kill people of this generation, but the price of trashing and ruining our planet will be paid by all our future generations to come.
Im not going to discuss about this since Ive already discussed this so often outside of SRF and Im tired of it.
Smoke or not to smoke, own choice, second hand smoking will be over for a big part in the next few years and at least I have enjoyed (the part of) my life smoking.
I think we only live once so we should enjoy it.
Some people live super healthy but get run over by a car or die on some high age. A part of the smokers die on cancer, that is just the risk.
At least I will have enjoyed my life smoking (now), drinking a beer every now and then and eating unhealthy food when the time comes.
..end
