Respect my Gnome! @MasterKojito, find a friend and level together, you'll level 3 times as fast! Anyways, with QuestHelper nowadays you won't have to alt tab to your guide/thottbot and find the cords to whatever quest it is you're doing (this really sucked while levelling.. having to constantly alt tab). If it's your first character levelling is always a journey and takes more time. You make mistakes etc and it really depends on how experienced you are with MMOs in general. I think 10 days /played would be a good estimation of a first timer with tools like questhelper. (It took me about 15 days played and I did a lot of instances just for fun, was persistent with hard quests, didn't know where to level, decided to grind out full levels with music and tea. That wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't fast) If you really only want to level fast I suggest you stay clear of all instances unless you have at least 3+ quests there. And don't do red/orange quests. You have to corpserun, so no dying = faster levelling! Avoid dying! I'd most definitely try and see if there's anyone here on the forums that would like to play with you. They will recruit you and they get super much benefits and you both level 3 times as fast if you play together. Also their experience will make levelling easier.

If you're playing retail then don't grind, however if you're playing a server with more than x10 then grind. Now for your question, retail with 2-3 people takes about 2 weeks non stop playing with minimum interference and a good stock of cash and gear. About a month if you're normalish with minimum interference.

Which class would do better in PVP: Human paladin or Nightelf archer or w/e ( as long it uses a bow)?

paladins generally heal or play a slightly less god version of a rogue in pvp. Hunter just launches arows at everyone, and annoys with frost traps. Kinda equal. Tho in arena pally > hunters i'd say. Simply because when i was arena-ing, we always took down the huntard first. And they went down fast.

The majority of the hunter players just have a real hard time adapting to arena. But with Arcane shot that dispells, a MS effect and almost more cc than a druid I wouldn't dare say it's a shitty class for pvp. Paladin on the other hand.. well only warrior/paladin can work and it's really an RNG fest with judgement of justice on the opponents druid and praying for a lot of mace stuns. 3v3 only 2x healer 1 warrior work for holy paladins, u can also go ret and play skilfull FIND THE WARLOCK with a warrior and a resto shaman. 5v5 is where paladins shine. They're a great class for 5v5 as holy. (5v5 is the least popular bracket though) Anyways, I'd definitely NOT roll nightelf for your hunter if it's pvp you're after. You should definitely roll a dwarf for a hunter. For Paladin human is good and dwarf can also work, doesn't really matter too much. Out of what you suggested I'd roll a hunter.

I've levelled a Hunter to 70, and I loved it so much. Hunters are probably one of the less wanted classes in arena, but I can assure you that if played well they can be amazingly strong. I'm with a resto druid. I drain the caster(s)/healer(s), whilst the other guy gets CC'd to the max by both hunter and druid (top CC classes). Then you just nuke them. Keep pet on healer/caster at all times and it's the druids job to keep it alive. Works well if you act fast As for the levelling, I loved it. Hunter is MY class and I'm sad I've discovered that this late. Great fun .

Hunters are least wanted because they work well with very few classes. In fact, the only real success I've seen in hunters are the druid/hunter combo and I've played a few good lock/hunters, but that was sub 1800.

Druid/hunter rocks. So much cc available as well as draining.

MasterKojito wrote: Quick question, how long does it take to 70, if your a crazy grinder of course? I would recommend on leveling on a high population server with high progression. Meaning many guilds raiding BT/Hyjal/Sunwell. You want this because these players live their lives in WoW. Their are tons of players constantly rerolling new alts, so you will always find groups for quests and dungeons. These players are also focused on raiding. Which means its a great opportunity to farm materials to sell to them. Raiders are willing to pay a lot of gold for things they do not want to farm for. So you can level, and make a lot of gold fast on high population, high progressed servers. If you are new to the game, a lot of this takes a long time. I would focus on just getting ready for Lich King. See all the content you can, but don't plan on seeing Illidan or Sunwell. Its possible, but you would have to play 24/7 to get ready. So I recommend, get your stuff done, see Kara, See ZA, maybe some SSC, TK, do Arena, do BGs, see the game. In Lich King you can kick some ass where everyone is at square 1. We all start same place again. If you want to Raid: Raiders raid to see game content. If that's the case I recommend following. First off if you never played this game before, I recommend doing the quests. There are faster ways to level right now, but its worth it. Quests will send you out all over the map, so you see all of the game. Places you normally wouldn't cause you don't have to. But you miss out on a lot of the game, story, dialogue and areas. Do the instances, yeah, yeah, low level instances, at least run each once, again, its to see game content. Once at 70: Epic Flyer: This really does change how you spend time in the game. It costs 5000 Gold. Get it. Save your gold and make some gold. Following is either essential or great for raiding, but also can farm you some gold fast. You want to level professions. Whichever you choose is fine, they are all viable and useful in Raiding. The only one I can think of that might not be as useful, blacksmithing, but its still useful. Making craftables, potions, elixirs, drums all very good for raiding. Gathering helps you afford the materials for enchants, raid consumables and cut the cost. So its all fine, level them first. First Aid: Get it to 375, should only take you a few hours, if that. There is a small quest part in Arathi Highlands, but doesn't take long, if you are Horde that is. If you are alliance, I dunno. Cooking: Very useful. Raid guilds require you to have consumables which include food, which give you extra stats. You can also sell food to guilds that raid 5-7 nights a week who are too lazy to make or farm their own. Its a money maker. Fishing: Yes its freaken boring. It took me almost 2 weeks to level mine cause I got so bored. But the best money making consumables is Fish Sticks and Crawdads right now. Healer and Tank food. And a lot of people do not have fishing 375. Big money maker. You can also fish food for Spell Casters, Mana Regen Food, Agility Food and Attack Power. Its useful and money maker. And you gotta farm badges and gears. http://www.elitistjerks.com will help you.

God the recruit a friend thing is amazing. 2 Guys from my guild got this and they boosted 4 toons to 60 within just this week already, they're working on the 5th and 6th as I type this. Insane. /played is like a day or something. I leveled my priest from 18-23 and my warrior from 45-48 in the past days, they made 4 60's. anyways Would it be worth buying a new account, boosting, transferring characters for 20 euros each just to get some 60's? I'd love some alts before wotlk arrives but hmmmh.. =\ That's like 60 euros for 2 easy 60's. Which is like 2 gamecards and saves weeks of playing.

Depends, do you have the gold to supply them? Do you want to go back later and level all their weapon skills? Do you really think it's worth it?

Hm yeah didn't think about skipping professions etc because you level too fast for that... Just had a talk on guild chat and all the people that use this method don't take professions, good gear (tho outlands will gear them up) etc. I'll just stick with the normal leveling I guess

And what does recruit a friend do? Return to WoW if you want dude. I find it a helluva lot more fun then I ever did SRO, partly because of the amount of silly crap you can do. (was playing catch with guildies outside ZF last night while waiting for people to show up) As for the new RAF system, you get 3x EXP while levelling with a friend (both on kill EXP and quest EXP) while within 4 levels of each other, you still have the one month free for their one month, and when they pay for two months you get a zhevra mount.

Don't you just love it when you got college untill 5 PM, get home at 6:30 PM, have dinner, get a haircut, go for a shower , be done at 8PM, sit down in ur chair relaxed and all, with the thought "lets get some badges...", picked up daily, wasted FOUR fcking hours BF HC, guess what i got.... Farking ONE badge. well pissed off >< our tank thought he was 2 pro to be in our group, took us 30 mins to find replacement. Then the rogue kept on poisoning the CC'd, so he got pissed off and told us it was our fault and he quit the group. Then we got a fury tank (just L.O.L) and we got 3 pulls further! ---> SIGH <--- sry for the rudeness but i'm off to bed

Indeed. Whenever i'm making the group, i'll always do that. People think they're good geared when they've got full pvp gear, and frankly, i'm not having that. So i keep those out.

I only pug players from established PvE Raiding guilds, meaning they raid at least 3-5 nights of 25 mans a week.
My Friend's list is just a list of players I go to for a quick pug. That's how you do it. Makes it easier than armorying people. I don't even look in LFG anymore, I just whisper the people in my list and ask if they want to join. Players usually will join if they know its going to be a fast run for easy 4 badges or so.
Most important, MAKE FRIENDS WITH TANKS. Dedicated tanks, people who just can't get enough of tanking.

Yeah I noticed >< Done a couple of heroics on my mage but I guess I was lucky Oh well, last night I did all 3 Coilfang heroics We had a kickass group, all nice people and our tank (which was in mostly blues) is the best I've ever seen. He was so extremely fast in picking up mobs that were CC'd, and when somebody over aggro'd he'd easily get all that before any1 gets hit. Amazing tank it was, gave him my kudos because he well deserved it . Added him to friendlist for future heroics Found some blue patterns as well as a nice epic gem, and a slight ring+ head upgrade.
