Good thing Twysta.

WoW should never take over your life. Never. You gotta regulate things. It's a fun game. But you got to be able to turn it on and off.

I used to raid, and stuff. And like you I don't have the time anymore. So wow's been incredibly casual for me for about 6-8 months now. There's weeks when i play a few hours, and there's weeks i don't play at all. Haven't played in a week and a half i think. And i like it like that, it's meant to be fun, and fun only.

GL anyways. Get rid of that weight you idiot ;)

So, i started a warrior, hes level 25.

He has no talents, no skills and only the money/items/gear you start the game with.

I didnt really think this recruit a friend, grant level thing through

Speaking of stupid shit...

My darn WotLK and BC expansions haven't come. So today, I'm going to EB and going to buy them. I'm also going to have to get a Play Card. Then Update blah blah.

I'll hopefully be on this arvo. ;)

Sweet mate. I'll be on around 6pm. (7pm server time because it's in DST)
So if you're coming to my server, if I'm not on Hisana, I'll be on Kujoh.

Finally cleared 10 man Naxxramas, with Kel'Thuzard downed second try earlier today. I swear Malygos makes any other bosses, including Naxxramas ones look like cake.

Does anyone have a good guide for Newbs for World of Warcraft. I've watched numerous YouTube videos, they don't seem to help much though.

If anyone could link me to a good YouTube, or Online Written Guide.

Any help appreciated :)

To be honest, you dont really need a guide.
Just pick an easy to level class, such as Shaman or Warlock and you'll pick things up as you go along.

Plus, there is a proper in-game guide when you start a new character too, not like the shite in SRO.

Oh good! I never used the Help Guide on Silkroad, I found it easier to pick up the game as I went a long - took a long time for the hardly complex game.

My guess is WoW will be harder, with 100,000,000,000,000 clothing combinations, as opposed to Garm, Prot, Armor. :p

Alright. I've decided to jump into the WoW wagon. I've been playing the trial for a week now and I love the complexity that this game offers. There's so many things you can do it's overwhelming, and fun.

I've also decided on the race and class I want. There's only one problem remaining that just came up today. For the entire week, I've been playing on Garona. Tonight, when I logged in, I was placed in queue - with the wait time of more than two hours. I believe there is a preference against trial accounts but I still wouldn't want to be in a server that occasionally reaches max on weekends.

Do you guys know of any server with a good population. I don't want any of the low ones. I prefer those that are consistently medium (can reach high but not max). Of course, player dynamics will never ensure servers to be free from being maxed but still I want some sense of security. xD

And I want a normal server, not PvP.

The great thing about WoW is, if servers become to populated Blizzard offer free realm migrations. The longest i have ever had to wait is about 10minutes to login, and in that time i just sent to get a drink.

If you are looking for an EU realm, i will suggest Stormrage. Its a nice server with a good population and hardly ever maxed.

What's your lat?

400-600 on a good night. Generally for me though at peak hours, sits around 800-1200.

Prophet, what timezone are you in? If you're GMT+8-+12, I'd suggets jumping into an Oceanic server like Cael. *hint hint*

Free realm migrations sounds good but if you've grown to love a server and the people in it, it's pretty hard to just leave it all.

As for the realm's location, I need a North American one. My timezone is GMT-8 so it's kinda off from GMT+8. xD

There's so many NA servers, I might just end up randomly picking a medium one.

I bought the BC and WotLK expansions, however when Installing BC is it necessary to upgrade my account to BC? Because I seem to keep getting an error that my Authentication Key is already in use, even though I only bought it today!

Fucking pisses me off.

Just use LK to install, it installs everything, less time needed then.

I'd take it back if that key is already in use. Sounds dodgy to me, and they should replace it. But you can still play on the full client without being fully upgraded.

I just tried to install WotLK and I got this message.

Quote:
This World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King key is not valid for an account already upgraded to World of Warcraft trial.
You must first upgrade to a full World of Warcraft account before using this key.

If that one is invalid too, oh my goodness.

Oh and, are you allowed to return electronic goods?

Edit: I used my Trial account.
EditEdit: It's forcing me to buy one months Subscription in order to register my account ;x - I don't have a play card, but I want to make sure I can install the game before I sign up for any recurring payments.

Oh no wonder, you need to update your trial to the standard account first =P

Lol, I'm honestly so stupid, this is new problem:

Just install using the LK disc. It doesn't need CD-keys and whatnot to install. It just goes.

Also it won't charge you until the free month from upgrading is finished.

Thank you so much for all the help, and I have no money in my paypal, because I'm charging back from Silkroad and don't want to risk the rest of my money. So hopefully I'll find a way around all this.

Thanks again for all your help!

There's 4 armors available, cloth, leather, mail, plate. Most classes can only use one or two of them though. My druid can only use cloth and leather. Warriors can use mail and plate, maybe even leather. There is a lot of clothing combinations, but there are add-ons that'll show you what the stats do, and if the equipment is better or worse than the one you currently have equipped. The most difficult part of this game, is probably raids or pvp, since you have to be fairly well organized and know what you're doing.
