Get herbalism. Bears shall not kill bears so as a druid you can't get skinning. It's just.. wrong.
Don't do it! The cenarion expedition shall never forgive your betrayal.

I'd also like to join a guild with vent if possible, because i get bored very easily, and like listening to people talking and laughing in vent. Thanks I have an xfire if you want to add me, its wowravenTalk to some of you soon

You can go to a trainer and learn a profession. A profession is something you can do next to being a druid, for instance a leatherworker and a skinner. (Good combo btw) I suggest you check into what you like most, but I can already advise you to NOT get Blacksmithing as a Druid since blacksmithing makes plate armor and other stuff which you can't wear. Tailoring also is a bad choice as it makes cloth and you wear leather. A good start, as I heard, is to get one gathering profession like herbalism, skinning, mining. But since you (Crumpets), started out as a Night Elf, you should either take herbalism or skinning, as mineral ores are pretty much nonexistent in Teldrassil. Droods do well with leatherworking. Gear > Money at the start, at least it does for me. (I'd rather not worry about corpse runs) Read the forums, it's more interesting and accurate, most of hte time, than the forums.

BTW im pretty sure money>gear in the beginning as any gear you get in instances is better than anything you can make, at least that was my experience wit leatherworking and blacksmithing, im thinking about dropping blacksmithing and taking up skinning, mining/skinning seems like an easy money maker...

I hate my internet. I've been leveling my paladin somewhat due to my net just spazzing out, meaning I'm too unstable to do instances and whatnot. >_< Which is annoying.
Ah well, free time to do whatever.

I don't play a Shaman but I am pretty sure the best levelling spec is Enhancement. I think using two slow one handers is best for dps. Slow being 2.3-2.6 speed on the weapons. I think you'll only get dual wield at 40 or something though. That's all I know about Shamans, or think to know. If speed is of the essence for levelling I suggest you skip dungeons. If it's less important I highly recommend doing dungeons, I really enjoyed doing the occasional dungeon on my first character.

Alright, so skip instances and dungeons? Also, I'm currently debating between Staff and Mace, what would you choose? Mace has a lower speed, around 2.1 and staff is about 3.4, that means mace is better dmg, with the buff?

But you've got options with a shaman and all of them are pretty good at what they do. I wouldn't recommend skipping dungeons though, leveling in this game is way too easy (especially with a shammy) to make that your goal, dungeons are fun with the right group and good offers much better loot than you'll find questing i do about 2-3 instances per day and between the exp from them and the questing i've been able to lvl as fas or faster than the ppl i first partied with when i started...

Those links have very confusing things for a first time player, and i'm thinking of going with my mage/healing side of things, is that good?

I'm not saying you should skip the dungeons, I'm just saying that levelling without doing dungeons is faster. Usually it takes pretty long to get a group together, especially low level dungeons and then more often than not you need a rogue/mage for reliable crowd control.
The dungeons are really fun, but if your only goal is to rush to 80 and enjoy the content there you should skip the dungeons.

You can barely look for people to do low level instances unless you're getting boosted. One thing I'd really like to say is not to always keep your professions up to date throughout because it will save a lot backtracking later on.

What happened to me was when I was leveling to 80, I didn't pick up any professions and leveled them up. After I reached 80, for example I have mining, I have to start mining at places I've been to, spent a good 2-3 days to get it to 450. Also with the Winter Veil event now, to get one of the achievements, you have to have 300 cooking skill or so, which once again I never bothered playing with, is now back to haunt me.
