 Post subject: What are THE animation programs?

Could anyone share that with me? Using Photoshop CS3 for my animations isn't really work (refers at his own sig..):

Only thing I can think of is Flash.. But that's flash movies and not .gif's so any advice would be great

you can save your flash animation as a *.gif if you like.

It's kinda hard, I can do some good stuff with it now, but I can't rotate the camera view >.> and I can't edit something in the time line, dunno why :oops: Any good site with BEGINNER tuts? I'm doing intermediate tutorials I guess..
