 Post subject: Hmm HELP!!!

Anyone had similar problems with ps? I tryed to reinstal... i even formated my pc...doesn't help.. Can it be that all those fonts i added are the problem?

anyway this is what i get when i try to edit a text on a pic.

does that happen when trying to use ANY font, or just specific ones? if so, it could be a corrupt font file or something. if it's all fonts, then i would recommend deleting all the fonts you added and trying again.

it DID work correctly at one point, right?

hmmm i think any font. Yea it did work.... back in the days..

i would definitely get rid of your fonts. don't delete them necessarily, just move them all out of the C:\Windows\Fonts folder to somewhere else. leave one or two default ones )times new roman, arial, etc.) in there, and try to start photoshop. it may not let you move all the fonts if some of them are in use by Windows, but that should allow you to transfer out all the new ones. if you sort the list of fonts by date the ones you added most recently should be at the bottom, so you can do it that way too to save time.

i tried sorting my fonts several times.
it wont work that easily

what i normally do is delete the .ttf trutypes, the blue T icons. the green
ones, OpenType, must stay those are the standard fonts.

Anyway i deleted all the fonts that i could... the error is still there :( no photoshoping for me blah... :cry:
