So as I was driving home from work I was thinking...
I think Katy Perry should team up with Armin or A&B or even Dash Berlin and put out a gnarly vocal trance tune.
Mainstream or not, she's got a powerful voice that would be perfect for trance. I couldn't see Armin or A&B doing it, they seem to pick really underground singers with beautiful voices, but Dash Berlin I think would and it would be amazing.

I'll put money she eventually does something with Kaskade. Unfortunately, I don't think she has it in her to do something with anyone who isn't huge in the US.

I could see Kaskade. He's getting bigger, at least around here. I keep hearing stuff on the radio for shows he's playing.
I could also sadly see David Guetta and her pairing up. While I hate the guy for this selling out, he does play a pretty good live DJ set.

Yea I'd protest the latter hard.
Slightly related, this is a good article. Although I find it hard to believe that anything other than sheer numbers keep good female DJ's from the forefront. For every female I can name 10 male DJ's. It's not that they aren't as popular as men, it's just that they aren't as many as men. Maybe 10 years ago the gender gap was polarized, but EDM is def more progressive than anything else and I don't think anything but math is keeping that gap alive today. Side note: does anyone else feel like it's genre of the liberal minded youth?

Yes. The whole scene and atmosphere of raves being that everyone is there for the love of the music, and because of that, everyone is accepting of really anyone's tastes or lifestyle.
