It wasn't because an Uruguay defender touched the ball before it reached Van Persie (who didn't touch it anyway..)

offside is discussable.

The ball wasn't touched, tho it did affect the goalkeeper's reaction.

Edit: Just saw the 2d goal, but he was turning and his leg didn't hit the ground yet (that's what commentators said tho) so no offside.

It wasn't offside, in the replay you can clearly see that van Persie didn't touch it!

I dont think the dutch can hold against Germany/Spain

and an offside is triggered when the player makes a play for the ball, which I think Van Persie did but I'll have to take a look again
