ill give you a cookie if you stop confusing me.

having equal genders so like 1 boy 1 girl or so on i would say better off. the sisters can talk to each other and same for the brothers. BUT mainly the brothers can talk to the sisters and have the closeness of a family with someone close to there age. example say 1 brother wants to know what to get his GF and is clueless he has the option to get a girls point of view on the subject and not a guys from his brothers.

just my 2 cents

I had a sister growing up and it was hell on all of us.

Sure it'd be fine with me, but it'd be tough for sure.

lol my big sister tortured us...like literally made us hold buckets of water with our arms straight out for as long as she wanted among other things. She looked out for us though but "show your most kind inner you" lol, out of the two of us im the nicer one, that woman is a hurricane.

I think people forget that kids are people at the end of the day and likely to be as different from what you expected than you can possibly imagine. If you think your older son would look out for your younger daughter she might turn out to be a tomboy and him a bit timid. Just saying its a bit pointless to try and plan kids down to roles, that didn't work for your parents did it?

I want to get myself a wife that is like, asian, or somewhere african or even hispanic..

I like halflings.. becuase halfbloods most of the time turn out to be much better looking then fullbloods.

So, I'm kinda hoping of running into a Japanese beauty, (won't be hard if I'd go to Japan) and hope she wants to come with me to the US. then make some babies.

And I'd like a like, equal kids. 1 boy 1 girl, or 2 boys 2 girls..

But not too much, becuase before you know it you've got yourself a Extreme Home Makeover house full of kids. fck that.

and around 26~30 ish married, then see when the baby makin happens...

I will probabbly change my mind in future, but I'm not planing to marry at all.
I think it would be pitty to leave this world without children, but I have my plans already.

I dont think there is person for me, who with I'll be able to live for 30++ years together...
You cannot choose your parents / brothers / sisters, maybe I just got the ones who with I argue alot and cannot live with them (im exaggarating). Maybe there is person with who I'll be able to live for longer time.

But I dont feel like having only one woman for longer period. Maybe when I get older my main interests wont be womans. Time will tell.

and on other hand, I dont want to die alone.

Well, i'm married already for 5 years, and have 2 boys; a 3 year old and a 2 month old. I've always wanted boys first, don't know why lol. Now that I have 2 already to pass on my last name, I think my wife would like to have a girl now :banghead: . I told her no, since i'm already tired of one attitude, it'll be worse if she has a little clone as well.

I'm married and already have children. I got married when I was 22 and had my first kid when I was 27. I wouldn't trade my two daughters for the world. As they grow older, I'll have to convert them into geeks, gamer chics perhaps.

Then I'll have to invest in a shotgun... no, a tank... to scare off all the guys that may come anywhere near them. :D

I meant younger sister but, when you said "I think people forget that kids are people at the end of the day and likely to be as different from what you expected than you can possibly imagine." and the rest. i know what you mean but i think it's depends of how you raise them.
The idea of having 2 boys... no :( I want at least one girl.

you can marry a white person then and still keep a chinese name though? so what does your family tradition have to do with dating someone else?
unless you mean that in order for it to be truly chinese your partner has to be chinese also?
thats why i thought you were a girl.

i CAN keep MY Chinese Name, however my son will not have a 'legal' chinese name i mean, if my wife is non-chinese, she won't have a chinese name so that means.. no chinese name for my son.
Then, the tradition is broken. (I think is like that  ) but, i still don't sure 100% if my family has that tradition, cause i have a case of an uncle who is married with a mexican woman lol and i asked to my mom if my cousin (their Daughter) do have a chinese name, she answered me "that's impossible, her wife isn't chinese" and my grandmother wasn't really like the idea of my uncle engaged with that mexican woman (but i think its because that woman had another relationship before with 2 kids already. :S)

so what does your family tradition have to do with dating someone else?
Most like keep the tradition, the legacy of the last name for chinese people.

unless you mean that in order for it to be truly chinese your partner has to be chinese also?
uhm Something like that... i born somewhere else (not china) but both my parents are chinese as well, so i have a real chinese name.

thats why i thought you were a girl.
i still don't get it why :?

Still, i don't know how will works for "others chineses" people :?
This is what i made myself. What i think is it.
EDIT: when i say "no chinese name for my son" i mean the last name (wich is the combination of husband and wife or whatever) i don't know how to say it but you got the idea lolol

I was always curious about this with Chinese people's names. I always wondered why Chinese and Japanese people in the US often took on American type names. Names like "Joe" or "Melissa" don't seem to fit with someone who is Chinese or Japanese by appearance. In the reverse, I haven't met any Caucasian or African American people (for example) with a name like Qing Cen.

Not to say that it's a bad thing to have a 'different' name. :)

My mom is French and I have a chinese name: He Zhi Wei.

It's just not on my birth certificate, but my parents could have put it on my birth certificate; infact, they almost did.

Not sure if this would help -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_name
But yeah, like me i don't live in china but i have a western name for where i live.
Beside, there are some case that i know some chinese which they don't have western names.
(They all known by just their chinese name). Most of my friend call me in my western name, but my last names are chinese. So basically i have two profiles :? lol

1.- My western name and last name ("western chinese") combined with one chinese word.
2.- My 'pure' chinese names and surname. 甘偉康 (Cam Wei Hong -> need to be verified if its correctly spelled lol)

And in "reverse", in that case i think it can't be possible. When a foreign goes to china to live, china ppl just will they call him by his name or maaybe they give a chinese name (but its veeery rare to do that). Because hes not chinese, and chinese name, tradition is dificult to understand, even for me. And giving a western name to a chinese its more easy, its like a nick name.

Btw dom, your Dad's chinese? and your Mother have a relative-chinese?

One of the teachers my wife had back in high school told her that someday she (my gf at the time) and I would get married and have 20 kids. I would be a stay at home bum while she worked at a gas station to support us all.

It didn't turn out that way. We got married and only had two kids. She's a stay at home mom and I work to support the family, just not at a gas station :)

No. :(
What does make you think i'm a girl? :?

you can marry a white person then and still keep a chinese name though?
i CAN keep MY Chinese Name, however my son will not have a 'legal' chinese name i mean, if my wife is non-chinese, she won't have a chinese name so that means.. no chinese name for my son.

Now I see where you're going at..

I'll make an example:

the Asian(korean, but I somewhere think it's going kinda the same??) artist Bae Seul Gi.

Her last name is Bae. so her first name is Seul Gi. so.. her parent's name were like: dad: Seul Ho and Mum: Gi En or something like tha..

So, if your name is like, Huan Ba Miro (just an example) and you'd marry a chinese girl with a name like, Yin Ga Aya, then your kid could be named like, Huan Miro Ga??
But with, for example a US girl, then the name couldn't be like that??

Hope you were able to follow it? cuz I kinda lost track of myself too...
