I'm paying $18k for 1 year(2 semesters), this only includes tuition fees. It's expensive because I'm an international student.
Canadian residents pay 6k a year.

My undergraduate cost me -$1000 a semester. I had enough scholorships that the school actually paid me to go there. Books are cheap if you're smart, most you can actually just check out from the library for free (BUT you have to get your book list before the semester so you can get them before everyone else), buy on bookswaps, ebay, amazon, barnes and noble used, or just photocopy the important parts from your friends book. I also frequently bought out of date editions and did just fine with them.
For the average student, tuition at was around 6-8k per year in-state, 15-16k out of state, plus around $500-800 in books.

$3466 tuition and fees, 16hrs. $2910 Apartment rent, August-December and July 2010 rent. Next semester will be $500 cheaper.
$6367 for 1 semester not including books, groceris, gas (hopefully not much, walking ftw.) etc..
I wait until I've been to my classes to buy books. I've found that half the time the "required" book isn't really required...

I have to pay £576 per test and im doing 6 so £3456
and my courses are around 200 each for the year so £1200
Books cost about 600 all together
The house im renting is 460 a month split with 2 people so £2760 a year.
I put £50 of petrol in my car a week = 2400 a year
So college takes around £10400(17,239.12 USD) a year from my parents, they also give me £100 a week to live on.

theres an admission exam, and for example at accounting (where I went), first 300 dont pay at all, the next 300 pay around $1000 which is pretty much for my country
I was lucky enough to get in the 141st^^ so no money

Oh...not including rent :| I seriously hope that are no USD, Euro's or GB Pounds Insane amount. That's USD . Undergrad was cheapish because of In State Tuition (you get benefits for going to schools that are located in your state, or if they have agreements with other states [reciprocity]). Professional school (Pharmacy) is going to cost me $150,000 over three years, but when I'm done I'll make $100,000 - $125,000 /year, so it will pay off... eventually .

This could be a bit offtopic, but out of those $125,000... how much of that do you pay as taxes and for your other insurances?

Lol in my country college is free. In fact, the government pays us a stipend of 86 euros every month if our lecture attendance is regular, and they give us around 240 euros on a smart-card to start off for books. Same thing now that I'm going into university, except they start us off with 1000 euros on a smart card, then another 86 euros every month. Btw, the smart card is only accepted in a few shops, normally book and IT stores, so its not exactly a system you can scam somehow. Moreover, if someone had to fail or drop out of university/college, the government will send a bill to pay back the stipends and the smart card money.
Pretty good if you ask me.
