It's where transcend the need for a thread topic and structure and turn a perfectly good discussion into a fucking social networking exhibition. It's where we act like 12 years old who are on msn for the first time, reciting homoerotic 'jokes' with each other and posting pointless pictures of ourselves to make it seem more real. It's the award for those who started out as a group of guys liking a video game, but found themselves wound up in something much bigger.

This rule is a farce, as pictures are rarely used.
Free styling is not a choice, it is a a way of forum life.
With out us all activities would surely drop.
Chaos would ensue the forum, no relieving threads would ever be posted.
An anal retentive board would be born.

I think Everyone who laid down their opinion about it was right. Freestyle posting is a way of life, it's annoying, it's a fancy word for spam.

The people nominated for the Freestyle Award, (Tasdik, Hejsan, Squirt, me, Xmoshe not so much, as he's just a person with a lot to tell and is actually a valid member) are just a bunch of spammers who have nothing better to do than that. We each have our own style in spamming, and together are a force to be reckoned with.

They're often annoying posters who only post to up their postcount in the hope their penis will grow. Or to brag about what ever they can. Or to just ruin a topic with random shit.

I will, quite often, NOT spam a thread with a useless "Lol", "+1" or any kind of similar comment. If I find something is funny, and don't have anything, intellectually, relevant to say about a certain thread, I'll PM the person who said it so I can express myself, without interrupting the discussion going on in the thread. I probably end up sending 10+ such pm's a day.

Moshe is the furthest thing from a free style poster.

Unlike Doron, Squirt, and you, he actually helps contribute to the forum in a meaningful way. He's always helping in the C&S section, Q&A section, and anywhere else he can help out.

If you actually participated in the other parts of the forum, you'd know this.

Since he is nominated, it gotta feel that some people think he is a so called freestyle poster, same goes to you. But yeah, he contribute to the forum, you cant deny that.

I am and I have no clue why. Maybe because of the 14k postcount? Maybe because you can see my name in most forum sections? I always try to post usefull things, unlike others who always try to post total bullshit lol.

Being nominated for any award is the least of my worries, but being awarded for "freestyle posting" is bullocks lol. At first I thought it was for useful site contribution, but then I saw Squirt, Doron, and Hesejan (No offence, but srsly). The only actual valid members for this misnamed award is XMoshe and Tadisk. Moshe actually is active in all parts of the forum, and probably has been ever since he's been here. Tadisk speaks the truth when he says he pm's you short replies to your post instead of filling threads with "+1", "lol", etc.

The reason why i'm questioning it or worried about it so much is because it gives encouragement to spam.

As for being butthurt about not being nominated for anything:
The only award I was butthurt about was being the best mod/admin. Duh.
