About the ENFP
Expert Quotes & Links

"They can't bear to miss out on what is going on around them; they must experience, first hand, all the significant social events that affect our lives."
- The Portrait of the Champion Idealist (Keirsey)

"ENFPs are warm, enthusiastic people, typically very bright and full of potential. They live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about things. Their enthusiasm lends them the ability to inspire and motivate others, more so than we see in other types. They can talk their way in or out of anything. They love life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it."
- Portrait of an ENFP (The Personality Page)

"Friends are what life is about to ENFPs, moreso even than the other NFs. They hold up their end of the relationship, sometimes being victimized by less caring individuals. ENFPs are energized by being around people. Some have real difficulty being alone, especially on a regular basis."
- ENFP Profile (TypeLogic)
"outgoing, social, disorganized, easily talked into doing silly things, spontaneous, wild and crazy, acts without thinking..."
- ENFP Jung Type Descriptions (similarminds.com)

"ENFPs are energetic and enthusiastic leaders who are likely to take charge when a new endeavor needs a visionary spokesperson. ENFPs are values-oriented people who become champions of causes and services relating to human needs and dreams. Their leadership style is one of soliciting and recognizing others' contributions and of evaluating the personal needs of their followers. ENFPs are often charismatic leaders who are able to help people see the possibilities beyond themselves and their current realities. They function as catalysts."
- ENFP - The Visionary (Lifexplore)

"Ranked 1st of all 16 types in using social and emotional coping resources and 2nd in using cognitive resources. "
- ENFP Facts (discoveryourpersonality.com)

all the bolded parts, are not true at all.
and maybe some others that arent completly right too but oh well, the rest i agree with lol.

I couldnt agree more with the multiple intelligence or w.e it's called quest, very accurate, im kinda impressed.

It was fun, thanks for sharing it :)
Makes me be more sure of the things i was alredy sure of xD
hmmm... after thinking about it
i may, the first time, nto really think about what i do, even tho i do think about it, i just dont really care, but that sometimes makes it so i make silly/stupid mistakes and ppl that judge normally think im stupid/etc, but, in the long run, i always prove em wrong, and i love doing that..Everyone who knows me, even my friends, everytime for example, that me and my friends play a new sport, or a new game, i'll always suck the first times, and then suddenly im pro at it.
But yeah, i do think i think a lot about stuff, it's just, there's stuff that i truly care or start caring, therefore i'll truly think about em, and the others... even tho i think about em i dont really care..

I know it's confusing, but thts me lawl
awsome test :D

another edit, something that i dont like, sometimes i seem to understand everything the way it truly is, and, sometimes that's interesting, because i dont know what drives things or that person to be that way, but sometimes its boring >.<'', because i understand "everything"
:(

But yeah, meh.

Oh and another edit, another thing, most of the times, i never really show others what i truly think about something... idk if thats good or bad but yeah.

another thing, when i make friends, normally, we create a relationship bla bla, but its very normal for me to know a lot about the other ppl, and most ppl not know much about me lol.

And ofc, nothing of what i say, is linear as it seems, i adapt to everything easily.

Last edit, lol. Music is one if not the most important thing for me, it's wierd if you ask me.. Instead of me, having the need to talk to a friend, i can just listen to the music i want, and chill, control myself, helps me think, gives me hope, and reminds me of who i am. Music is seriously my best friend (it might sound lame, but in the reality, it's very deep. Music = Love)
There's no bad thing about music (now u can think, if there's good things, there gotta be bad but, related to only music and not going to touch the physical things or w.e, you can put aside all the things that could be considerated bad about music. Music's perfect imo (it's not that linear ofc, just saying, it feels like it)
and, i consider myself a two sided person too. I can be too complicated to deal with, or too easy to deal with, and this applicates too in, dealing with stuff.. idk if you understand me, i feel like my english's really shitty right now but oh well i kinda tried, i wish i could explain everything >.<'' i guess that'd be impossible lol, at least i think you, maybe just a little but, now you know me a little bit better in some aspects, and some things i do value and bla bla, like i said, i wish could "explain" me. I tryed it one time, but only through Music, and it's way too hard cause it'd need way too many musics lawl

This test definitly made me think. Very interesting, once again, thanks for sharing it
^_^

I just noticed something. Most of you are introverts. Playing SRO and other games much?

Oi, Introversion means you prefer time alone to group activities. People on the interwebz and at school confuse me for an extrovert.

Yeh just because you're introverted doesn't mean you're some kind of basement dwelling game addict. Just means you prefer being alone or with a couple friends vs. a huge party setting or something like that.

INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to most anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves

Quote:
INTPs live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into. They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations. They seek clarity in everything, and are therefore driven to build knowledge. They are the "absent-minded professors", who highly value intelligence and the ability to apply logic to theories to find solutions

still this sounds like that astrology stuff...generalizations and things mentioned that almost anyone can agree with...still i do like hearing good things about myself...

During medieval times, the four humors of blood, bile, fire and phlegm were believed to be responsible for a person's character and temperment. Prior to that, the elements (Wind, Fire, Earth, Air) were to 'blame'. But in 1928 Carl Jung observed that there are four 'functions' by which people operate: feelings, thinking, sensation and intuition¹.

eHarmony® has made tons using such things. When focusing on various personality patterns and especially individual factors, it's important to trmember that each person is a unique combination of many facets that form distinct personality. Also, in order to decribe various personality factors, extremes of a trait are described for the sake of clarity. Of the various factors that comprise a person's personality the average person has only a few extremes.

Barotix will correct me if I'm wrong (and earn my thanks again) but Balance (especially on the Judging Perceiving matrix) is anything under the 75/25 or 25/75 scale. In my experience this is the easiest (and the only one for me) to change with practice. I've moved toward Judging and appreciation for rules as I've aged (no surprise, right?)

Didn't really like this version of the test. The questions aren't very good and some things about certain personality types here are wrong. Guess I can't fault them for the inaccuracies since the summaries are taken from a variety of sources.

Knew you were an ENFP. lol

I always thought Dom was an INTJ. I assumed Grandpa was as INTP and I thought Barotix was one as well. XemnasXD seeemed more like an INTJ to me based on his arguments. Wasn't really sure about anyone else.

Quote:
Dealing with INTJs

1. Be willing to back up your statements with facts - or at least some pretty sound reasoning.

2. Don't expect them to respect you or your viewpoints just because you say so. INTJ respect must be earned.

3. Be willing to concede when you are wrong. The average INTJ respects the truth over being "right". Withdraw your erroneous comment and admit your mistake and they will see you as a very reasonable person. Stick to erroneous comments and they will think you are an irrational idiot and treat everything you say as being questionable.

4. Try not to be repetitive. It annoys them.

5. Do not feed them a line of bull.

6. Expect debate. INTJs like to tear ideas apart and prove their worthiness. They will even argue a point they don't actually support for the sake of argument.

7. Do not mistake the strength of your conviction with the strength of your argument. INTJs do not need to believe in a position to argue it or argue it well. Therefore, it will take more than fervor to sway them.

8. Do not be surprised at sarcasm.

9. Remember that INTJs believe in workable solutions. They are extremely open-minded to possibilities, but they will quickly discard any idea that is unfeasible. INTJ open-mindedness means that they are willing to have a go at an idea by trying to pull it apart. This horrifies people who expect oohs and ahhs and reverence. The ultimate INTJ insult to an idea is to ignore it, because that means it's not even interesting enough to deconstruct.

This also means that they will not just accept any viewpoint that is presented to them. The bottom line is "Does it work?" - end discussion.

10. Do not expect INTJs to actually care about how you view them. They already know that they are arrogant bastards with a morbid sense of humor. Telling them the obvious accomplishes nothing.

Grandpa I don't know if you already knew this or not but you may find it useful. The rest of the post can be seen in the link below.

Quote:
In the interest of clarity I offer the following information, hopefully to increase our awareness of how MBTI “works”. There have been tons of references to how “I” someone is, or whether someone is “J” or “P”. The four-letter MBTI type code can be somewhat misleading in that people often make the assumption that the letters of the code are what define the personality type. In actuality, the MBTI code is based on Jung’s four cognitive functions and how they blend and are expressed within individuals.

Jung postulated that there are four “basic” cognitive functions (Thinking, Feeling, Sensing, and iNtuitive), and that any of those cognitive functions will be expressed in an extroverted, or introverted fashion. Given that, there are then 8 general ways that people think;
Ti – introverted Thinking
Te – extroverted Thinking
Fi – introverted Feeling
Fe – extroverted Feeling
Si – introverted Sensing
Se – extroverted Sensing
Ni – introverted iNtuitive
Ne – extroverted iNtuitive

ESTP - Se Ti Fe Ni
ESFP - Se Fi Te Ni
ISTJ - Si Te Fi Ne
ISFJ - Si Fe Ti Ne
ENTP - Ne Ti Fe Si
ENFP - Ne Fi Te Si
INTJ - Ni Te Fi Se
INFJ - Ni Fe Ti Se
ESTJ - Te Si Ne Fi
ENTJ - Te Ni Se Fi
ISTP - Ti Se Ni Fe
INTP - Ti Ne Si Fe
ESFJ - Fe Si Ne Ti
ENFJ - Fe Ni Se Ti
ISFP - Fi Se Ni Te
INFP - Fi Ne Si Te

there were more of these questions, couldn't be more than indecisive :?

But i don't need a test to tell me that i'm introverted :(

i took the test 2 times, i ended up as..
the dreamer(picture missing, but i was more FEELING than THINKING)
