thinking of upgrading myself but i am not sure i am up the the building process and this is the best i could find today in stores i am trying to buy at the 2000ish range

dual core is higher clocked which make it better for gaming atm cause no game, except crisis maybe needs quad core

quad core is lower clocked but has more cache and all stuff so it's better for rendering and stuff
