yeah well, soccer is one of the oldest sports in the world. ofcourse you'll have some rotten appels. but the good thing is that the national soccer association of each countries reviews the decissions of the referree after. so if someone gets a red card which he didn't deserve, the soccer association can take back the card.
also for every f*cked up moment in soccer I can show 10000 amazing moments.

you can take back the card but u cant take back the score... and there is even more corruption in football.
i predict in 9/10 games there will be a substitution in the last few minutes of the game purely to waste time. the "tired player" will walk off slowly and waste another minute. the goal keeper is also likely to waste 30 seconds shouting "who wants it" when really he is also just wasting time.
and the amount of times players go down easily far out weighs the times when a decent amount of skill is shown.
not only that but how often do you see teams passing the ball around mid pitch to also run down the clock... "playing the positional game" is a good way of saying, the game is boring theyre just time wasting.

That's Barcelona's style. They just kill you with their passing around. At least Arsenal and others in the Premier League don't do it like Barca.

For every league there is maybe one or two badasses, aka football players who don't take dives or whine about getting a light slap on the body. It's pathetic as I said before.
Also I agree with penfold, another part why I hate watching football lol

bro, you obviously don't know anything about soccer. so just don't talk about it. like I don't know anything about American sports, I don't talk about them
@xMoshe
come on bro. that's like the most worn out arguement people give for that sh!t. do you ever watch soccergames? in a game of 90 minutes you see like 1 or 2 players make a fake dive. anyone who uses that arguement has obviously never watched a whole soccermatch.

I have seen enough football matches mate. In every one of them they overreact when tackled, tapped or what ever happens, they drag out shit, act like assholes. It all adds up to a point where its just sad to watch.

probably why arsenal are doing so bad.. LOL!
and heroo i live in the uk, ive been to watch several football games, i watch football when its on and i keep up to date with football regularly. when i watch rugby and people are sprinting and there are people trying to trip each other up or run into each other to force them off line, they never fall to the ground unintentionally they always fight to stay on there feet every time and when there is an injury they genuinly look upset to be sitting off on the blood bench for a few minutes to get treatment.
football at least in the premier league is all about image. how you look and touch your hair up and what you wear is more important then the score line.... its just bad sportsmenship to act out everything

hmm, I guess it's a matter of choice. I agree with you both that al the fake diving and all the drama really f*cks it up, but it's something you have to accept in order to enjoy the real soccer. the real emotions. the atmosphere. the feelings it gives people. Everytime there's a world championship I can feel the rush, I can feel that everyone is focussing on it. Our whole street, heck our whole town turns into Orange when the national team plays. That's what makes it fun. Sure the Busquets of the soccerworld f*ck it with their h0m0drama, but luckily we still have the Messi's and the Ronaldo's running around on the soccerfield
anyways, let's save this discussion for another thread. right now I want MOAR WINZ TEH INTERNETZZ!!!!!!

yea your right... some football can be really entertaining and sometimes especially against rival teams in more trivial cups can turn into great games however i feel that the drama and acting really does ruin what people pay to watch.
messi is one of the latest players to show how skill+staying on your feet can win you the game... Ronaldo however... (christiano ronaldo) is well known for being a drama queen and a stuck up person off pitch too.
Messi coming from argentina to the euro leagues is a huge feat for any south american player, to come in young and gain great experience from the spanish league and to come from unknown to superstar in months is a great thing to see. he doesnt care about how his hair looks (ronaldo) he doesnt care about what neck scarf he is wearing (tevez) or the color of his boots (Eto'o) in fact he even wears boots with brains to help him analyze his football.(i think)

^erm messi isnt exactly the only player from argentina to play in Europe.. Infact tevez and eto'o, who you talk shit about, both came from VERY poor backgrounds in argentina/cameroon. tevez had a interview where he talked about playing soccer with balls of socks, etc. They show off cause they are proud of themselves of what they have achieved..
anyway soccer will always be a awesome game, but yes FIFA/UEFA are just way to opinionated/corrupt..and the fact that they dont want to install videos "to keep the game's traditions" is retarded.
And yes i call it soccer, thats what its called where i live and if you dont like that go cry to your mom, lol.

no i wasnt saying that he was the only one... im saying it is an achievement for those who do... and normally they dont come over from such a young age. also im not saying tevez or etoo suck... just that theyre more interested in theyre public appearance then they are about football. Tevez not wanting to play and sitting on the bench? he gets payed more money then my entire house does in a week! He just said to his manager that he doesnt want to play... thats no attitude for a sports player. showing off your skills is different to showing off your neck tie... thats my point.
also mr SOCCER!!!!.... soccer is also an english term for the league that was originally football (sorta like what fifa is now... a governing body, comes from the word Association football... Assoc.) so i dont mind people calling it soccer =)
