Sin wrote: Rapture wrote: The boy used the stick to write O N G E R after the line l to make the word LONGER omg that's brilliant. The boy threw down his stick and used it as a line, which was longer than the original line he had drawn.
I say he put down his stick next to the line he drew, and the stick was shorter than the line, so his line is longer!
Opposite of what you said

I would've also taken a less complicated --> He drew a smaller line UNDER the line, making the original line "longer" then the new one.
3 pts to Draquish
Riddle # 44
Difficulty: Medium (2 pts)
Code: Mother, father, two boys, two girls, a policeman and a convict need to cross the river with the help of boat.
1. The convict cannot be alone with any member of the family without the policeman. 2. The father cannot be with the daugther(s) if the mother is not there. 3. The mother cannot be with the boy(s) if the father is not there. 4. Only the father, the mother and the policeman know how to sail the boat (so one of them should be on the boat on each crossing) 5. The boat holds at most 2 people
Tell me the entire process of how everybody makes it to the other side.

The rules were the boy could not touch the original line in any way, with any thing, and he didn't, he just created a new, smaller line, and the stick works since it is smaller then the line.

After reading and rereading kitty's sentence, all i can come up with is that he said put the stick on the line, to make it longer, and the stick will be touching the line making it a nono.
Scroll up and youll find a new riddle, if it hasnt already been lost in the tides of posts.

I think he was saying that heres the line [ ], that he would do [ ][]<- add a new section afterwards

let's see..
- the policeman would take the convict over, and leave him there
- the policeman would row back and take the dad there
- the dad would row to the other side and take one of the boys
- the dad would row to the side they started on, grab a boy, and go to the other side
- the dad would row back, take the mom, and the mom would row back to take one of the girls
- then the mom would row back to where they started, take a girl, and they'd all be on the other side?

policeman would take the convict, and leave him at the other side
the policeman would then take the mother, then swap so the policeman is on the other side, and the mother is in the boat
the mother would take one of the girls over, and leave her there
she would then row back and take the 2nd daughter, and leave her there
she would then row back and get the dad, then they would swap so the mother is on the other side and the dad is in the boat
the dad would take a boy, row over, leave him there
finally he would get the other boy and leave him there and get off the boat, so they're all over the other side
silver you forgot the other boy

The convict cannot be left with any of the family members without the policeman around. http://freeweb.siol.net/danej/riverIQGame.swf post a screenshot of you winning that game, and it counts as you solving the riddle This was posted a long time ago by Ryoko I believe, I liked this one alot
