How about those that disagree with gays due to religion? Does it make them assholes? Hell, I believe that gays just aren't right, yes, I'm bigoted, but it doesn't make me an asshole. What makes me an asshole is that I actively detest gays and would rather they weren't there. I'm an asshole, because that's the kind of person I am, I have no problem with hurting someone's feelings if I think they're a total moron. Disliking gays or being a bigot does not automatically mean asshole.

i stand by my statement. it wasnt too long ago that many people believe interracial marriages should be banned, that women should not have a right to vote and should be a good stay-at-home mom, that black people are inferior and cannot share a pool or water fountain with white people, and that everyone has a right to own slaves as their property. ALL of which were laws.

back then, running on the platform of being a Segragationist will get you elected to office. today, doing that will destroy you. do you have a right to an opinion? yes? do holding any of these opinion make you an asshole? To most people, yes.

why do u care so much about who other people marry? in the constituition there's an equal protection clause and everyone's entitled to life, liberty, and happiness. why do u care if two consenting adults decide to marry? mind your own business. if u believe in the bible, no one cares but if u going to use the bible as a reason to attack someone and call him homophobic names, then u can take that holy bible of yours and shove it up your ass. remember, jesus love everyone in the bible, including prostitutes and other outcasts. learn how to read the bible. the bible also say not to trim your hair and not to eat shrimps and other good yummy foods.

Im pretty sure being a bigot qualifies as one of those asshole things. Same as being racist, same as being prejudice. This is of course my opinion just like in your opinion its ok to detest and belittle gays. Its not even like gay people are harmful. They're a naturally occurring possibility in animals with two sexes and historically and socially they've helped pushed the boundaries of the writing, philosophy, civil rights, art, music, etc. Statistically we're clean and productive and open minded. I mean the list goes on and that what makes things like bigotry so inexcusable. That even in the face of all things like that you will stick to your opinion and express it as negatively and openly as possible simply you can.

I don't expect everyone to be like "oh gays, THAT AWESOME" but i expect everyone to at least show each other a little respect and remember that at the end of the day we're all just people trying to get by and the last thing any of us need is some dickbag trying to bring us down just because he feels like he can.

No, I am well aware that chemical reactions take place while the child is in the womb, but that doesn't fully effect the person's decision later on to act on that chemical reaction.

I made this thread to share the news with everyone. Yes, I knew a very few people would be bigoted, intolerant, immature, and will untactfully say very offending and insulting words. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in where there will always be people like that. There will always be people who hate just about anyone who's different from them, whether it be anti-Jews, anti-blacks, anti-Asians, misogynism (anti-woman), and the list goes infinitely on. So yes, I knew a few would flame behind the anonymity of the internet and act tough. Many people would not say the things they say in this thread in front of a LGBT person in real life. I already came out in real life already, so getting flamed on the internet is not something I can't take.



LOL No. your sexual orientation is your identity, just like you can't choose what choose what color of the skin you want, or choose your height to be that of Yao Ming, or choose to have the intelligence of Einstein. So how did you choose not to be gay? im pretty sure being straight requires no effort on your part. im sure if you see someone pretty of the opposite sex, your brain start involuntarily pumping hormones and u spontaneous get a boner. so let's say if you choose to be gay, can the same thing happen to you?



And vice versa... unless you are lucky enough to be born a bisexual and enjoy the best of both worlds. I know a lot of bisexual people who have an opposite-sex husband/wife and kids, and go to gay bars occassionally. IMO, there are more bisexual women and than men.

It's an identity based on your choice. The chemical reaction is there saying to like men, but you can ignore it and like women just fine. Or you can accept it and like men.

You say that like you know for a second what its like to be gay. Even ignoring all that if assuming you are sexually attracted to women would you feel like you would have to ignore it if society was against it. Not even all society but a certain percentage. Would you ever just pretend to be gay to suit someone elses beliefs in what a couple should be.

Choosing whether to act on those feelings a matter of self-respect. Every gay person has the option of living their life according to the rules of people like you. Some gays even marry and have kids and families. It doesn't work out because in the end thats not who they are. People shouldn't have to step on glass over an issue like this and you are not smart enough or worth enough to make them do so. IMO you are just a meaningless face in a meaningless crowd trying to bring someone else down because they don't conform to YOUR ideas. What would you do if the world declared that your precious scremo music was rubbish and banned it from the market. You'd fight it i hope, if you have any sense of integrity you would. You'd fight for your right to listen to what you want because its not hurting anyone and its none of their business. Its what you like and thats all that should matter.

Its not a choice to be gay. Whether you choose to act on it or live a lie is up to you but i could never live a lie. I would never pretend for a second that i wasn't black because i love being black. Thats who i am and im proud of it. Im not going to pretend im something im not just so you can feel better. I'd rather see the whole world burned to ashes....
