Most of the pros of the secession were for the confederacy and of course most of those pros were economical. The Union (North) needed the Confederacy (south) for food and other Agricultural products (cotton tobbacco etc. The Union's economy mostly consisted of manufacturing and financing. The Confederacy were being screwed out of their money and property by the North. They were also being screwed because of the tariff on exporting goods.
Then you would probably say "BUT the Confederacy wanted slaves". This is what the schools in the U.S teach us. Propaganda. Remember this history is written by the victors it won't always be correct. Sure the South wanted the slaves but so did the North..But not as slaves but as cheap labor. Northern manufacturers hired freed blacks slaves because they were paid even less than the white women and children. The North hated blacks. They only used them for their cheap labor kind of like we use the Mexicans nowadays.
